I think that it's all live on at least one of the channels - I have it on NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC Sports, and Bravo. I believe the race you mentioned was live on NBC Sports - the channel that used to be called VS.

I have been watching on NBC, Bravo and NBC sports. They didnt show it live or the gymnastics live because they wanted the audience in America to turn for their show in primetime. Or maybe I just missed it.

I do believe however you might be able to watch it online somewhere, but I didnt feel like trying to find a stream.

Really? I thought the first part was the best bit of the entire ceremony. The whole thing about the Industrial Revolution was amazingly well choreographed and was a sequence that showed of our history and pretty much the origin of our modern culture.

Some other bits were good too. Like Rowan Atkinson and the James Bond section with the Queen. The music section I enjoyed, partly because it had songs I like, and the NHS was cool if really fecking creepy.

It was a horrendously British production, but I don't think that detracted anything from the quality since it was intended to show Britain to the world. But yeah, I do agree with Moralspain.

PS, the Industrial Revolution part reminded me of Isengaard from Lord of the Rings.

Oh yeah I enjoyed that, I mean the very start with the horse and cart etc. The conversion from country to factory was amazing. My fave part was with James bond haha, especially as the new bond films are all serious and that was a bit of a laugh. And the flame was a great idea. The worst part was Paul McCartney, he is a legend but it'd time to give it up.

Oh. I don't recall the Horse and Cart bit. What happened with that again?

And I agree with on Paul. They should have used someone better. Maybe another legend such as say Elton John. In fact, I feel Muse should have been used considering their most recent song was declared the official song of the olympics (despite it being a fairly poor song).

They played a short bit of Muse, but yea, they would have worked live way better than Arctic Monkeys.

I really liked the opening ceremony as well. Just thought the idea behind the flame was good but the execution not that great. The olympic flame should have been more old-fashioned.

I think the way flame was lightened in Beijing was loads better than in London. This time in London it was dull and boring. Apart from that I think ceremony was great

Honestly, it was cute. But nowhere near Beijing. It was like a high school musical on a bigger scale :? I was genuinely bored at times. Can't recall being bored by the one in Beijing.
