I think that it's all live on at least one of the channels - I have it on NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC Sports, and Bravo. I believe the race you mentioned was live on NBC Sports - the channel that used to be called VS.

Really? I thought the first part was the best bit of the entire ceremony. The whole thing about the Industrial Revolution was amazingly well choreographed and was a sequence that showed of our history and pretty much the origin of our modern culture.
Some other bits were good too. Like Rowan Atkinson and the James Bond section with the Queen. The music section I enjoyed, partly because it had songs I like, and the NHS was cool if really fecking creepy.![]()
It was a horrendously British production, but I don't think that detracted anything from the quality since it was intended to show Britain to the world. But yeah, I do agree with Moralspain.
PS, the Industrial Revolution part reminded me of Isengaard from Lord of the Rings.
