I am incredibly excited about being able to actually PLAY an uninvited private online game. Be is WT or just a quick match, because currently it's IMPOSSIBLE.
Also, I really feel that speed needs addressing.
Just played my 3rd ITST match, and while I got outclassed by a better player, it's infuriating hitting 4/5 perfect control shots deep to each side vs a 53 speed player and he returns them perfectly with power and everything.
I'm not saying that 53 speed players shouldn't be able to get those shots, but regardless of instant rocket or crushing passing shot, they just shouldn't be able to hit a missile when reaching for the ball or when off balance.
I have yet to play a game vs anyone but an Offensive Baseliner (besides a practice game vs Dr Burt Reynolds) and each person has blown me off the court, regardless of how many perfect or good shots I hit. I also can't seem to get these insane angles everyone else does, and my wrong foot shots have little to no effect, while when I try and step into the correct central court position I'm immediately removed from an opportunity to return the shot.
The imbalance of this is quite infuriating, and it really needs to be addressed in this new patch.
I will admit I'm not a great player, but I should be able to win more than like 2 games in a set (even though 2 of my 3 losses have been to love in both sets). I'm just getting blown off the court and nothing I try, be it coming to the net to finish the point, hitting deep or short power shots, hitting control shots cross court, up the line, slicing it deep to the weaker flank or even drop shots has any effect.
How can a 53 speed player standing behind the baseline get to a perfect drop shot and hit the ball with interest?
Something's wrong and needs to be fixed and I'd like to know when 2k!
PS. Can someone tell me how to hit extreme angles on shots because I try jamming the stick back and to the side and hit a control shot and it doesn't always work, even if i hit it perfectly. In fact the better shots are the 'good' ones and specifically my weaker flank gets better angles than my stronger one. Does stroke style play into this?
