Federer a few years ago, definitely yes. Federer today, definitely no. I think the current fight for second best would be between Djokovic and Ferrer but right now, it's hard to pick against Nole.

it is not fair to use fed current form to judge him of the top three 3-4 last yr only fed reach a clay mastersto face rafa final so 5yrs and till nw fed is the best ferrer has only made two masters final on clay this yr and las yr and didnt even make qf of french so and nole reach QF of rg too so again untill those two 1, win the french 2,win more masters on clay than fed is still no 2 using his current woes is not enough to judge against him dnt forget the french open win was only two yrs ago which still recent enough to be a vaild point for fed being the number 2

I think the context of the question is Currently who the second best dirt baller is. Not who the second best of all time is. I agree that a few years ago Fed was definitely number 2. That doesn't not make him the second best currently. You certainly won't see the oddsmakers giving him the second best odds of winning Roland Garros based on the fact that he was second best a few years ago.

Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.
