Do you just sit around, R. Kelly, looking for shit like this!!??
You guys (UK/Scotland) have plenty of problems yourself! I just don't really care about them

steady Jay....i wasn't starting a USA-BASHING thread - no need for the defensive reaction at all. This is the THIRD state in the US to attempt to get the ball rolling with regards to introducing this nature of legislation - and your news channels (TV News Channels) don't seem all that terribly bothered about sharing this kind of information - or when/if they do, it's very low on their priority-lists - so it seems to an outsider in any event.
re your remark about local problems - absolutely, we have all kinds of issues - the main difference is the scope and scale though - the fact, like it or lump it, is that when America sneezes, the rest of the world catches cold - you might knock the gung-ho perspective on the head for a couple of minutes (just a wee breather now!) and take stock - sure, we're talking about state-legislation....but historically, these things start low-key and next thing are the norm - whistle-blowing should be encouraged and embraced, especially when the subject involved has such wide-reaching impact.
Why would a state or country even NEED to legislate against people shining a light on what should be a legitimate process?
