Playing with glasses all the time, but can't see without them :D

Sorry Rob, picked another string, advised by my stringer. After some discussing about the string you suggested, so thanks anyway :) Just have forgotten which it exactly are (hybrid) :D

It's the Tecnifibre Duramix. Hoping to play with the in the next couple of days. Got him to string it on 26 kg (57.3 lbs) (racket says 23-27kg (50-60 lbs), 1 kg (2.2 lbs) heavier than I usually have.

Can't wait to play outside again. Just came back from the club to prepare the courts for the new season. We used to have really crap clay courts, but this year they hired someone else to do the dirty work, and now it looks way better.

You should like that. Technifibre makes excellent strings.

Got a new setup on my Kfactor Six One Tour today with the advice of my coach! 26/25kg strung with a hybrid: Babolat Hurricane and Wilson Sensation.

Any seasoned experts know if its a good choice? I'm going to find out tomorrow anyway, hope its a good fit, because I'm tired of always switching around, wish there was some kind of technology tool that could determine your ideal combination of strings 8)

Well, since I got (nearly) the same racket, I can tell you the 25kg Wilson Sensation is really nice. Can't say anything about the Babolat Hurricane though.

Trial and error is really the only way. Just make sure you have an experienced stringer who is listening to your feedback.

My stringer is really experienced and very good but I'm not sure about listening to my feedback...he's from Korea and he speaks really bad English, we have some awkward conversations sometimes

Wow, I just got back from playing and I can safely say a hybrid is the way forward (for me at least). I was hitting the ball so much cleaner than I normally do and felt a genuine difference that I was actually doing something with the ball.

Maybe its all psychological, but I felt this combination is truly the best fit. Definitely recommend it to any player although I'm not entirely sure which string make the difference, the main or the cross!

Man, sometimes I really love tennis! It's funny how sometimes something just clicks and you really figure something out.

I've been working with a coach on my serve for a while now. Lately we've been working on a loose wrist by having it bent at all positions as we work through the steps in the service motion. Today I was practicing on my own and figured out that just before my racket drops at the top of the first loop my wrist should STILL be bent. It made a HUGE difference today as I was hitting some awesome kick serves and felt no pressure on parts of my arm where I usually feel it when going for a flat serve.

Just had to share :D

By the way, I've been using Luxilon ALU Big Banger poly strings all the way through for over a year now. Haven't had any complaints.

That's really cool sherlock, I know exactly what you mean, sometimes something that has been troubling you just *clicks* one day and it's like you've gone up an Edberg level IRL

I've been working on my serve as well...the past couple days I have been just working on my toss for 1st and 2nd serves...just the toss, not even hitting the ball. Also my 2 hand backhand has suddenly clicked in a huge way and it's now better than my forehand. I can create more pace with it and I miss much less often. It's crazy, I don't know what happened but it just clicked sometime around when I got those Luxilons a few weeks ago. I love it! 8)

Good idea to work on the toss. Mine is better than it was 2 years ago, but it still needs a LOT of work. Why is it so difficult to toss a ball?
