Honestly, I think I know how to combat them.

Down the line is usually a tough shot to pull off in real life tennis, but in real life, the failed attempt results in an out or a hitting a net. In TS4 - a failed attempt results in a weak shot that will be put away. So technically it is a lost points either way.

The key is to simply not get involved in these battles and pull the trigger down the line. You have to time it right thou.

Some coaches can help in this department.

Hawkeye Miihawk, I think when we played yesterday, we hardly had any cross-to-cross rallies, I usually would pull the trigger down the line on my BH.

A good Top Spin control shot down the line is really good for giving yourself time to recover and get back in the rally/get out of cross court rallies aswell.

Yeah, I don't play those out wide rally wars as much as most people do. With my counter puncher I kept on hitting deep controlled topspin to the corners against you. That lessens how deep the angle can be were you to try and angle me off. The thing is your character's backhand was the stronger shot, so it was hard to attack that wing with my counter puncher. Lol, 99% of the time that's the weaker wing so I just go to work. I mean I couldve gone for the fh, but my guy's a lefty, and that changes up things completely.

With my all rounder though I play more like your Gasquet. I'm very offensive and when people try that "angle" game with me I go down the line.

Forget it Guys. It's senseless to continue playing against the good ITST Guys so long I am not able on my Console to hit the same Angles because that's what the TS4 Rallies are almost all about.

You know just to be serious. I really believe this Site has great Players and Top Spin Talents and I also believe everybody could win against me even if we would play on the same Level and someone just plays the better Match.

Even on my Peak in Top Spin 1 I lost many Matches against some big ITST Guys. But the Thing was I also won a few of those Matches against the big ITST Guys and I never had the Feeling (no Matter how many Matches I lost) like in TS4 that I am not able to control something what other Guys can or that I can't do something other Guys can do.

And another Point is I truly believe that some Guys are able to play the smarter and better Matches against me, but I also don't think that they play smarter than me generally. With generally I mean if you look at the Groundskills we have to play off a Opponent.

You know and if the Problem I have would be really a Result of bad Positioning I would at least hit a few really dangerous Crosscourtangles randomly. This Game is based on the simplest Movement-Mechanics you know.

So long I don't have the same Chances like you Guys it's a senseless neverending Story and I would probably still Post those Posts and my Opinion about this in 2 to 3 Years before TS5 comes out. :!:

Seriously is it such a big Skillthing to hit those Shots in a good Angle?
I don't know if anybody of you Guys know Quake 3 Arena or Quake Live on the PC an the so called Strafejump Technique. It was a Technique I never mastered. That's why I am asking. But I have to admit that I tried this Strafejumpthing probably not more than one week.

I can't imagine that or? I bet it's pretty easy if you know how you do it.

Is it right that the requirements are a good Character Positioning and Timing?

But what does your Character need exaclty? A over 90 Forehand or Bakchand?

And what should be so complicated on Positioning right for those Shots?

I mean you Guys do nothing other then step to the ball so good you can than me or? Or is there something special I have to watch out for for thoses Shots when it comes to Positioning?

Or what should I do exaclty with the right Directionstick if I want to hit such a Ball?

The Timing Thing is clear and selfexplanatory.
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

I dunno what you are doing wrong. Obviously it would help if you made a video dedicated to you trying it. But i can hit really short angles pretty regularly with 76/73(fh/bh) .

Obviously it requires at least good timing and positioning, and is better with perfect timing. But still.

Yeah I know you Guys already tried to help me with this, but I thought you can broaden my mind a lil bit more.

But it's ok. Maybe I will get it one Day. But to be serious. I played the Demo even more than the final Game now and I played the Demo probably 1 hour a Day.

I think Training is the key but I am not motivated enough right now.

I've played it much less than you. I currently can't play it, because I need to open up my PS3. I bought it and have only had a couple of 3/4 hour sessions at my cousins house

How do you aim your angled shots? Do you just move the stick to the left?

Yes that's pretty much what I am doing the most Time. I also tried it with move it back and to a side at the same Time to get a sharper Angle but my Shots still suck.

Hm that is what I was gonna suggest - aiming diagonally downwards to teh side you want to hit too. But hmm. Maybe its to do with when you take the shot. Are you taking it at the top of the bounce, or letting it drop to nearly hte court before hitting it?

I think if you are going for the lines and dont have perfect timing and also going for power it should be an error.
More errors would be good.
