I win my matches but the matches are so f*IIU%*çE annoying . Constipated rallies from beginning to end. It feels a bit like the nomansland thing we had in TS2.

If this were to become a trend in ITST I will retire from here very soon. Cause ITST is for me an escape from ranked for all those reason mentioned above.

You are right. I have encountered this new breed of the 30 return cheesy returners at least 3 times in a row today. It is torture to play this kind of match as there are no rallies at all. Just pointless although I have to admit it is a great feeling to beat these cheesers but I'd prefer to avoid them in the first place.

Are risk returning while standing inside the court?

In your signature you say that "if you are going to cheese, PM and get a walkover"

What do you consider cheesing? out of curiosity? :)

We should play, I think I played you once, a while ago.

Im sure people that risk return know what i mean,
I stand on the baseline when returning, although i stand further back when playing rob (last time we played recently i lost 3-0 3-0 in world tour).

Theres 2 types of "cheese". Theres cheating which is risk retun slice from inside........
Then anything else over used and abused is cheesy, im sure anyone would agree that if anyone used the same tactic over and over again, for a whole match is cheesy, i wouldn't quit now because of cheese, (i know better), i almost pulled of the 2 biggest cheese wins in a row, but unfortunatly the cheese cheated me out. And djarvik sure ill have a game sometime when im actually on, i only play my match's and go off again.

I deleted 2 posts that where off-topic. The ITST management is looking into your problems. I suggest you guys discuss your problems elsewhere.

Another on-topic question:
You guys don't like your opponents dancing around when you serve?
I know Rob does not like it, but I think this way you can get a better hit on the ball as you can't always stand at the same position to return.

Looking forward to playing you.

First, agree with:

risk return slice from inside........

then, I have to respectfully and strongly disagree:

I stand on the baseline when returning

First with returning from "on the line", while I will never think of quitting because of it, it IS easier to risk return when you are on the line, and some people take it further and step in right before you actually hit the ball on the serve. So, I don't like it, but it is a tactic that is being used by some. This tactic cuts down the time you have to react after your player finishes his serves motion. In real life great! TS3 - not so much, I see the ball going by me and can't do anything about it, not because I didn't react in time, rather because the player is still not out of serve animation. Just think about it, and observe. :)

Now for this:

anything else over used and abused is cheesy, im sure anyone would agree that if anyone used the same tactic over and over again, for a whole match is cheesy,

I think are are COMPLETELY wrong here. If I use a tactic and it works, I will use it again, and again, and again..... until you REACT. LOL and do something about it. Tennis is all about exploiting weaknesses. That is exactly what I try to do in my matches. Isolate a weakness and just go for it.

Nadal should never hit more then 2 balls in a raw to Federer's backhand, right?

What do you think? Agree or disagree?

P.S. - this game has only one somewhat cheesy part (you can still counter it) and it is the returns. Standing close on returns. There is nothing else. At this point even serving from wide is easily countered.

agree.

Well not dancing, rather side stepping. The player returns better when his feet are not planted. Got to stay mobile, quick, light on your feet.

Ok i shall explain as we all know there are people that always serve outwide hard, topspin whatever, i pick i hit a winner, winner, winner, winner so on so forth......... thats cheesy, a boring match and completely unrealistic to ure comparison with federer and nadal..... although i tend to win these matchs, its plain boring and not what ITST is about, if i wanted to hit winners of an outwide serve id go on WT...

...but it is not the case.

I dare you to hit against me winner after winner out wide

I promise you I will stop the count at 2. and move wide and force you to serve down the line, then I'll start from wide and cheat over to the middle, and break you!

Seriously, it is annoying, but it is all in your power to stop it.

Yep, I agree with it being boring. I wouldn't qualify that as cheesy, but boring for sure!

Unfortunately there are people here, and in real life that just play that way, doesn't make them bad players, just boring.

The reason why they do it, is because it works on most people and they have a "fear of change". Other stuff might not work, so let me do the same thing over and over. LOL

The right thing to do is to show them, win them, fair and square, and then say - "try something else, this seems to not work for you"

Anyway, I think we are on the same page here. :)
