THE REMATCH: Nadal vs. Tsonga

Postby Cro Morgan » Tue, 18 Mar 2008 14:27

They meet again, this time in the 4th round at Indian Wells. Should be an interesting match, considering Tsonga embarrassed Nadal at this year's Australian Open.

Nadal. I don't think Tsonga has that much momentum anymore.

Tsonga should win. He won't let Nadal just camp out 10 feet behind the baseline and throw bloopers up like he does with 99% of everybody else.

The courts in Indian Wells are slower than the courts in Australia were. So I think Nadal will have just enough. But it will be close.

Plus his spin looked really nasty yesterday in his win over Young.

My heart says Rafa but i voted for Tsonga, Rafa is not the same player he used to be. Actually i'm from Mallorca, and here there's a rumour about Rafa's "early retirement". He has serious problems on their knees and feet, He's lost his strengh.
I hope i'n wrong

I think you need to remember that Nadal not only has a score to settle from Australia, but he also has a title to defend in Indian Wells. I think we will see the best of Nadal. Consider also that it is a slower court, and I think you have a cocktail that will see Nadal win in straight sets. Time will tell though. :D

Tsonga 6-1 6-0 . because Nadal will win the first game with a lot of luck

I hope you are joking about that score. that's a pretty pathetic prediction.

I say Nadal wins in 3 tough sets.

Holy crap! I'm watching the match ... 5-5, 3rd set and the channel (FSN) dumps tennis in favor of a pre-game show for the Detroit Red Wings. I love the Red Wings, but come on ... Nadal/Tsonga > lousy pre-game hockey show.
