Yes. A bit scary for the fact that I predicted a momentum shift after Tsonga won the first set, hence Djokovic winning the second set.

Also, I closed my eyes and sensed that Djokovic will win the third set 6-3. LOL. I hope we can can get a 5th set.

However, Tsonga has to up his aggressiveness, as he did with Nadal. Easier said than done.

Okay. We will definitely see a trainer on the court for Djokovic. I am thinking that Tsonga will get the fourth, 7-5. I hope. Heeh.

Ah, he lost and Djokovic won. Great match. The momentum certainly started with no players. Then, it went to Tsonga. I would like to know what happened to him when he was on serve in the second set (he looked like he was tired mentally and physically).

Well, who cares. It is a first without seeing Federer or Nadal winning a grand slam event. The atmosphere was, as one of my youngest twin sister would say, "jumpin'."

LOL.

Great summary to end out this "happy" slam. It certainly ended as such. I will continue to have my eyes on Tsonga. He will be ranked in the top 20s, and as Maria Sharapova, Djokovic will remain at his third position in the world.

Good on ya' and no worries. :)

Entertaining match, for sure. Kinda felt bad for Djokovic, with the crowd on him, though he did seem to win them over in the end.

Anyone else get the feeling that Tsonga is a one Slam wonder? I hope not, but the Slam upstarts fade quicker than they rise - especially the Australian Open upstarts.

Tsonga wasn’t at his best, compared to his level in the Nadal match, but anyway good tourney for him As soon as the French fans started booing and over reacting to Novak hitting the net I was on his side. (well I was always on his side) Nole played great and deserved the title so im happy.

I really want fed to respond to this, and take the French. To early to say yet but Nadal may have lost his edge. (well I wouldn’t bet my house on it  :D )

Nadal lost in semi final against an absolutley tsonga, but made a great tournament before and showed is still here, injured or not: he is obviously still the great favorite for roland.

Tsonga can not make another match like he did, not because he s not good, just because it was the match of his life, he and his trainer said it.

that don't mean he will not win a slam one day, he's one of the best now.

but we can say what we want, in fact this year is very open, cuz every top player is in good health, federer nadal djokovic even nalbandian and now a tsonga

it is open, it is interesting !!!!

and i would like to say to those who were not fair play when nadal lost, if i say that :

" tsonga lost  " "tsonga out  "
"tsonga i dont like him a looser"
"tsonga go back to home"

so, is this intelligent ? is this sport ?

the commentators in latin espn said tsonga was a high hope for the new french tennis before he had so many injures along with gasquet and monfils. i am glad he is back in form and now we can se another potential great top ten player, along with roger, rafa, and nole. i was a bit frustrated to see Sissy Davydenko on the top ten all the past years. i hope the curse of the finalist doens't occur this year, as in the last 2 years the finalist of the tnt had a poor season in general with almost no other highlights.

Yes. Such high hopes for the young guy. We already expected to have his time. He did last night. I hope that making it to the final of a grand slam is not an one time offer for Tsonga. He seems to get injured much, and he did not look 100% after he won that first set (just could have been nervousness, for with Nadal he did not let back anything)!!!

So, we will see him at the French's Roland Garros. :) Again, great rise for both players.

even the tsonga trainer said today tsonga could never do again what he did against the lion nadal, because he said it was a really totally perfect tennis, he realised absolultly 100% of what he tried.

djoko has the experience of final slam, and he as the power, the confident (confiance in english how do we say lol), yes, he has the trust, to have killed federer, he's on the way

i think djoko has an advantage, but not decisiv, tsonga too has a trust in him.

a very good match in four five sets :) very well, very good for tennis :)

let's hope all the year will be like that with these guys:

federer, nadal, djokovic, tsonga and a serious nalbandian
and behind the others very good like baghdatis, hewitt, i hope gasquet, gonzalez.

nadal is still the great favorite for the next slam, roland, and if he wins again, which is probably, federer will be forced to win wimbledon to stay at the top, and not seeing his career get down, but, he will again have to beat at wimbledon the multi finalist nadal, and after all, now, the tsonga man who is i think much better again in wimbledon than in australia

djoko and even monfils could win wimbledon too

and, as once said, we french maybe have the best davis cup team 8)

be afraid, americans, australians, russians and sweden ;) (but now spanish too with nadal ferrero ferrer and even moya or terrible)

a great year men !!!!!!!!!!

Lol, Monfils????????? I though that guy was already dead. Where is he? It's almost 1 year and 2 months he doesn't do anything, he barely appears.

Good point. This guy never wowed me though. He is extremely fast. However, to me, that is about it. :) I like Tsonga and Gasquet much better than Monfil.

He could be another past-Tsonga victim, injuries perhaps?

WELL guys :D
what did i say ? ;)
