Dude lose the language. Stop speaking to people the way you do. You are the first person to have a go at others for the way the speak, so show an example and stop being a hypocrit. Andy has the right to his opinion just as you do, so don't judge it in the way you do. Disagree by all means, but do it in a friendly and amicable way. Your forum behaviour is becoming seriously contemptible.

I vote for Retos too because I think he has proven that he can consistently beat anyone. And can I point out Chris that he has won the last 3 matches against you, and holds a 5-1 career head to head against you. This would suggest to me that he is better. You can't argue with those facts.

By all accounts these two were absolutely exceptional and head and shoulders above everyone else.

I was thinking on naming them in my previous post (along with Tjerry) but i changed my mind. Not sure why though cause they do earn a place in this thread.

i voted for the great simmer ced tennis, but i think this is wrong to compare players from different games and tours and even console system. for me the two biggest players of the pc tour will always be ced tennis and pahel.

I truly believe you suffer from Histrionic personality disorder, look this up and seek help for it. The number of times you have a psychotic frenzy at someone is staggering and usually over very trivial issues. After which you often 'make-up' with these individuals following a long public apology from you and then they become 'good guys' as if nothing had previously happened. Apologies begin to mean less as the actions which provoked them re-occur. Your ability to take criticism or a point of view that differs from yours is non existent and this is not a good trait to have in life. If everyone shared the same opinion on the forum then what would be the point in having a forum?

I suppose this thread will aggravate you further but to be honest it needed to be said. I suggest you take it at face value as it is intended and not as a view to hurt your feelings with no good intentions. No one cares for such behavior and for your own sake I strongly suggest you change it. I am not about to start having a slagging match with you so there is no need to turn this thread into such, if I simply didn't care then I would simply say nothing.

If you choose to take this personally and start to treat me as you have others in the past then I am not interested. Such a course of action is entirely up to you and would simply confirm further what I have had to say. Taking an understanding course of action with serious consideration to the potential future implications of your current behavior would be the first step to fixing it and I would look upon you in a more amicable way. Until then you are in the naughty boy book.

Well for me as in the real tennis we have to look the stadistics or numbers.
For me Pete Sampras is the best Number one in the real life, because the number of roger federer for the moment dont are better that Sampras.
If i have to chooise for styles Roger federer is more complet, but too i have to say that Sampras was the Best Tennis player in the golden times , Sampras won to the best.
In ITST i have to agree a Oblivion in Sim he is amaizing, and in the reg tour i only was Surprised for one player Mecir72.

yes it's difficult to say something, it's like holding a pistol to our chest, just to mention one player. for myself i only can speak about ts1.

sim: thierry and oblivion (maybe marxion too, coz if he is really feeling like to play, he is the best perhaps). ced tennis was before my time here, so i can't say anything about him.

reg: mecir and pahel. although berg and rafa have dominated the reg tour this year, i'm refusing to mention them, coz they are lefties. hard words i know, but it's also a hard poll, so you have to take a decision.

female: vondutchboi. he can beat everyone, and has already did it in big matches since a long time (12:9 vs davidmario and 13:1 vs derrida for example)

Without trying to sound pompous I think I am a good judge of this as I am the only one to have played all the greats in ts1.
No doubt in my mind that the best player ever in reg is Vince and I would say followed by fred belin.
Norberto H could play fantastic tennis at times but not as consistently as those 2.

Without sounding pompous, I'm going to say that I'm the best no. 1. Even though I"ve never 'really' been no. 1, I'm no. 1 in my head. And THAT'S what tennis is all about...delusions

i think i am the best player to not have ever won a sim title (including challengers). does that count for the poll?

i voted for retos as i know him from the top spin 2 tour on the xbox 360. but honestly if rob would have been in the list i would have voted for him.
he has been so consistant on the top for so long big respect for the guy.
i know there are some other guys who are at the same level as rob is now but rob has been there for a long long time and still going strong .

I said Fred.

It sounds like everyone agrees he was one of the best TS1 Xbox players, possibly second only to Vinceanity. But that you also must factor in that he was the best at one time in TS2 Xbox 360 as well, in both men's and women's. He was beating SPA ViGuKK consistently towards the end of last season.

So these accomplishments mean he was very good at two different games on two different platforms and in a variety of categories (men's, women's, and sim). This is something nobody else can really hold a light to.

My guess is that he will be close to the top again when he rejoins for TS3.

Retos is very consistently good against a high quality of opponents, but he isn't dominating against them and it is only in one category. I can comment on the PC guys because I know very little about their tours, but I still would put Fred slightly higher because he accomplished his feats on multiple platforms.

Also, there is no problem with this poll. Comparing the top on different platforms is not that big of a deal really, and it does make sense. It is legitimate to do so because as others have said we must compare strictly statistics like quality of competition, titles, tour dominance, and skill in a variety of disciplines. It is totally unlike the argument between Federer and Sampras in which we must extrapolate Sampras' or Laver's abilities to todays training and equipment.
