Tennis Game Tour for Any Mobile Device! What do you think?!

Postby Q. Reese » Tue, 21 Jul 2020 18:20

Hey guys,

I was on discord and pitched this idea and am hoping that someone would like to possibly play for this tour if it is approved by the administrators. I am thinking that we can start a Virtua Tennis Challenge Tour for android users.

I have an idea for I.T.S.T. to also break barriers by having at least one mobile device tour. I am not just a member who sits around all-day and does nothing for the community. I like to contribute new ways of doing things as a senior member to this site.

I am looking to bring back my innovative thinking here and am hoping to have your support. I have a theory of how we can connect via the multiplayer option if anyone is interested.

A little bio about myself for those who do not know me (I joined ITST in 2005 and retired in 2010/2011):

I am a 6-time gold benefactor (donor to this website). That is nothing small and should never be taken for granted by management. We are the reason why this website still exist. Remember that!

I founded the doubles tour for Top Spin 1 around 2006/2007, hosted singles and doubles tournaments, wrote several news articles for the PC tour, finished top 10 in all circuits, and won 10 titles (one of them being the first Wimbledon Grand Slam and a Master Series doubles' title with Josh Reese, my brother, for the PC Top Spin 1 tour. I am hoping to be placed in the Hall of Fame for this, because this was the first historic doubles tour in I.T.S.T. history as told by an manager back then.

Re: Virtua Tennis Challenge Tour? (Android Users)

Why not Virtua Tennis for Vita? I know it’s more of an arcade tennis game, but I can’t find a community for it online and would’ve hoped to find it on this site.

Hey stkst,

Yes. That is a great idea. I see that Sega basically did nothing between the version I play and your version. Sure, they added a few licensing of players and all but the sound, etc. are basically the same. Haha!

I am looking at your suggestion via Youtube right now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWs38csJr54&fmt=18 versus the game I play on Android (Virtua Tennis Challenge). The video is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7A_QppUnVo&fmt=18

Overall, my idea was to pitch to the members the idea of moving this way if there were to be an interest here. Why do all the legwork if there is no interest? Right!?

If there is interest, I would draft a proposal as I did for the Top Spin 1 PC Tour for doubles (which was successful). It was fun recruiting for that Tour among many others I did as well; hosting the tournaments and seeing the players have fun...Oh, what a joy! That is what I.T.S.T. is all about!

Why not start pioneering for this same concept in the mobile devices (plural; not just Android). It does not have to only be for Android users. I was/am just painting-up the idea to see who would be interested in entertaining this thought.

If members are interested, ideally I am looking to propose a cross-platform mobile tennis game that can be downloaded and played on any mobile device! Yet, beggars mustn't be choosey...Haha. if we have to do just Android/iOS, then that is a start!

I am not here to just hang around. I like to suggest innovative ideas and need the members to support me before I can propose this to management, as done before.

Thank you members! :)
