ITST 1.18 MAC PROBLEM

Hello,
It's been a month since the mod has been released and there's still no solution for the problem on MAC (not all players available) ? Come on, you release a mod and it's not even finished ! I'm sorry but that is not normal. I don't mean to disrespect anyone but that's not acceptable, I've been waiting for this mod for so much time and when there's a problem, there's no solution.
I've already made a post, Vmoe answered me he was going to look after it (thanks a lot to him) but there's still nothing and my previous post is now without any care. Please, can someone do something?

latouur, you may say that you don't want to disrespect anyone, but your post and general behaviour is simply disrespectful (no wonder that you have been banned here already for your behaviour in tour matches). Fixing that problem may be even beyond what can be done by modding (because TE without any modding does not offer that many characters to be saved). The problem also existed in other versions of ITST Mod, so it is nothing new. And lets get this straight: We did not charge any money for ITST Mod, all work here is done in free time (What have you done for this community? Only waiting for ITST Mod?), it is not that ITST Mod is unplayable on Mac (I guess one of your favourite players cannot be used), and I'd say 99% of players have no issues at all since there have been over 2000 downloads and only two or three persons mentioned a problem.

Regarding the technical side: The game cannot be modded directly on a Mac, so it is very annoying to try out things. Anything that involves replacing files within Pak03.Pak means that I have to do it on Windows. Then I have to boot Mac OS, see that it did not work, go back, repeat.

And I also have a simple suggestion for you: Install Windows on your Mac (either via Bootcamp or using Parallels) and play TE on Windows. That is how it is intended to be played.

I don't disrespect anyone, if you like to work and we can only say all you do is perfect, then you have to tell me and I'll do it. Is it bad to express what I feel? I said 100 times the mod is awesome and the improvements are great. Would you find it normal if a new update wasn't completely finished?
I've installed it on several Mac's (yeah, I don't pay for it, but I talk about the game to loads of people who have bought it, you should think before talking ) and they all have the same problem, except they don't even know this site and so they can't complain.

I mean, you all know about this problem but it's still not fixed. It's been years, that's the truth, but I think you don't like the truth when it's against you.
Why should I install windows if I have bought a Mac? If I wanted to have Windows, I'd have bought another computer Still no answer to the problem. I can tell you that if I had the time and the knowledge you're supposed to have, I would have tried my best to fix it and wouldn't have released the mod with these mistakes.
I cannot load players like WAWRINKA, TSONGA, MURRAY, MONFILS, RAONIC, RODDICK, SODERLING,... Should I continue? Don't you understand it's frustrating to see this and have literally NO ANSWER? I'd love to see what you'd do I'm a bit tired of always playing the same matches with the same players.
Anyway, I apologize if saying something true is bad in this community. I thought any truth was good to say Thank you !

Then from now on I will put a disclaimer: "Not compatible with Mac OS" or "May not work properly on Mac OS". Or not even release the .rar archive at all. Problem solved, because I am not promising it to work. And I don't say that all is perfect, in contrast, I know several areas that could be better. I decide to put in work, and what I get is a message claiming that ITST Mod is unfinished. Put yourself in that situation.

Of course I am not happy when things don't work properly. However, I would never react like you, because I know where possible mistakes can come from and that it is not necessarily something the person having released the mod can fix, but requires something the developer of TE has to look at. You, however, point the finger at us. As if we included the mistake on purpose. Do you know how much time ITST Mod 1.18 took me? It cost me almost a full week, something I can only spare when I take holidays. I can imagine several better things I could have done during that time.

But yeah, I think you should have warned the Mac users about these problems, so we don't have this bad surprise. Anyway, my intention wasn't to create problems but to express what I think. Sorry if that was too harsh ! This argument is finished for me, I hope the same for you. I understand it is difficult to fix it so ok, I will wait for some news and if I don't get some, I'll wait for the next mod hoping for the problem to be resolved

ITST mod has always been designed specifically towards online play (mainly to allow ITST Tour to exist) and Tennis Elbow 2013 doesn't provides any online feature on Mac, thus we never aimed to get it working and/or polished to work on OSX. Secondly VMoe is totally right pointing all this modding has been done for free on our free time (and a lot of it) without earning or even asking for a cent. The mod always being free so we don't owe anything to anyone, thus the words "not acceptable" are definitely uncalled for and innapropriate.

Now about this specific issue you have, i personnaly do not have a mac nor any running OSX system to test out. Only thing i can point out is that we met this issue on windows sometimes in the past and it was fixed by modifying region/language for non-unicode applications on the user system side (i have no idea where one can change this setup on OSX, but i guess there must be an option for it somewhere). The fix was about changing the region/language for non-unicode applications. The reason being we use non-unicode special characters to create the character profile .ini filenames, i couldn't find any other way around to create the 68 slots roster wide hack (because profiles filename length limitation seems hardcoded), so is this not something we can modify. Thus the fix is on the user system side. At least it is if the issue you face is the same. at least it looks like it.

I have a suggestion !
In ITST 1.17, there was the same problem but not with the same players. The places of the players are not available but not the players themselves, I don't know if it's clear enough

In the ITST 1.17, I could use players like Murray, Raonic, Wawrinka, Tsonga because they were either in the left column or in the top right. Now I can't because of the alphabet order which puts them into a " place ", emplacement, that doesn't work.

Is it possible to exchange these player's places with players from the left columns? I know there aren't "useless players" but maybe we can replace less enthusiastic players by the more famous?
