Serving! Need help with aiming

Postby jokkemannen » Tue, 17 Jan 2017 09:44

I'm trying to understand how to make a good serve and I find it quite tricky. I've read that you're supposed to use the key for acceleration if you want the most powerful serve. But what I find difficult is the aiming. Most of the time the bll bounces close to the middle of the opponents serve square. I've tried to aim left and right but then it either goes out or in the net. I want to be able to aim wide or close to the middle so I can have a variety.

Could someone describe and guide me through the serving process when and how you aim and when to let go of the keys?

Thanks.

You don't have to let go of the key. Aim to the right or left when the ball is approximately reaching the top of the throw (this depends on the service animation) and don't let go of the key. If you want to give it top-spin/slice, then as soon as you press the acceleration key start pressing down/up and don't let go at any moment. You can combine both as well, press down/up and then aim left/right, but don't let go until you serve.
