So, Djokovic has just been ballooned out of the tournament by Sam Queero. Who is your favourite, now? Murray? Federer? Queero?! Del Potro (I doubt it, but a man can dream)? Nishikori? Raonic? Kyrgios? Cilic? Gasquet?

There goes the Golden Slam :)

Federer can do it but so can Murray.

I don't think so. Murray has been playing way too strong, and he has recent history against Raonic. Beat him in Australian Open, and also beat him in Queens.

It'll be close, though.

Also also, if Murray doesn't win, it is going to ruin his reputation. He has been (un)fortunate enough to have only played Federer and Djokovic in slam finals, meaning he is universally considered to have the toughest end of the stick. Now that he is playing a final against someone other than those two (or Nadal), he has the chance to prove that he is not a choker and has unfortunately been drawn against two of the greatest players ever in finals.

So basically, Murray has to win otherwise he's a choking little ****.

Well, I guess Murray proved somewhat he has the chops to win a slam final when it is actually expected of him.

I wonder if this will give him confidence against Djokovic when they inevitable play in the final of the US. Or at least loosen him up when they next play in a slam, because he actually managed to win the final he didn't have to play one of the greatest ever.

As I mentioned earlier, if he lost it would have been devastating for him and his reputation as a serial choker. So this is a good step forward.

Very eventless final. Serena-Kerber was more interesting. Should be noted that Milos lost 2 tie breaks despite having won the second most ties this season.

Anyway, happy for Andy, was about time for him to win a final this year. Also that this year's Wimbledon coincided with the European Cup was annoying. That final starts in about an hour. Olympics aren't far away either and then there's the US Open for tennis fans. It's all a bit too much this year.

I wonder if Murray can make it 4 finals in a year. I wouldn't bet against it at this rate.

So Federer is out for the rest of the season. But then he is lucky to skip the Rio Olympics which are going to be disastrous.

It's a shame, because for years he has been saying he wanted to keep playing until the Olympics.

I wonder if he'll be able to recover fully from this. Could be bad news for his career at the top of the game.

Also may not be so bad if he comes back fully recuperated.

Then this will be his first season since 2000 he will finish without having won a tournament (he made two finals back then, his first tournament win was Milan 2001).
