Best match Federer played EVER at Wimbledon

Personally, I think this is the best he ever played at wimby. Brutal efficiency. Maybe less flair and flash as previously, but that doesn't win Titles....efficiency does.

He dismissed a Contender for the title in straight, straight forward sets. Not just a good player, or a dangerous one - straight up contender.

My 2c.

I think the same. I think even today if he's playing at his peak level i don't think anyone could beat roger on grass. He moves too well on the surface and has lost barely any speed even at nearly 34. The difference is when he was younger we saw his peak game much more often, with age its become rarer to see that level of performance, maybe only once a year, and if its in the cincinnati second round it means some also ran gets beat 1 and 1. But against the world no 3 it was an amazing performance. Hope he beats djoko!

i personally think (judging by the score) that the fed rafa 2006 final was played better.

I can't remember any other match where Federer has served better, not even the 2009 final vs Roddick. Maybe not best overall but best serve stats.

Athletes NEVER EVER play the match of their life at age 33. Not sure exactly when Federer played a better match, but rest assured, at some point during his younger-than-33 career, he did.
