Not gonna lie was surprised to see a straights set win for gulbis. he definitely had a good week. Maybe he will finally be able to put it together at a masters or a slam

He's got good potential indeed but we all know that's not enough.

I think it will be a good achievement for him to win a slam. Number one spot needs consistancy which I don't believe he'll ever have. Not like Djokovic, Federer or Nadal. That's why also Murray will most likely never be the numer one as well (that and because he sucks on clay)

Good stuff. Don't think he will carry his current form over to the upcoming US Masters but let's see.

To be honest, he needs to get better. "This" current form is heavily based on serve working well. He needs to develop the ground/rally game just a bit. A few tweaks like - go cross on most FHs will go a long way.

Wow, Gulbis completely took me by surprise in this tournament. Knocking of Gasquet and Tsonga, I am now a believer.
