So staying in the rally against Rafa is the key?

No actually waiting to get a forehand was the key

Talking about David ferrer. His results this week. I think it's fatigue.. After all he's been playing continuously for weeks now.. He took only one week off after us open.. It's crazy in my opinion playing that much even in this age. He would ve been feeling more fresh if he took some weeks off after us open. It's not like that he wouldn't qualify if he didnt play

So, Novak wins 63 36 63 (but Del Potro was 15-40 on 1-1 in the 3rd set) and goes to the semis.
Predictably, Federer and Delpò will fight for the remaining spot. Semifinal against Nadal will be the gift (assuming that Djokovic will beat Gasquet).

Juan Martin on saturday.
Rafa on sunday.
Nole (again) on monday.

Easy for Roger :c

Wawrinka should reach SF in the group B.

Don't know what to think about Fed vs Delpo. Delpo might feel a bit more tired after 2 thrillers, and Fed might defend more easily than in Bercy which was faster and with lower bounce.

Would be so cool to have a Rafa/Roger SF, a very indecise match if that happens.

H2H is first in order of precedence, right? So Nole could lose 0-6 0-6 vs Gasquet and still remain at No. 1 in his group (and avoid a Nadal SF).

Wawrinka just blew that set. Wonder if he'll bounce back.

Yes, you're right.
But Nadal, unlike Djokovic, still cant be sure of the 1st place in his group.
In fact, if today Wawrinka loses (and right now, Stan is losing agst Ferrer) and Berdych wins, the Czech guy will lead the group.

On the other side, Wawrinka could go to the semis even losing his last match against Ferrer.
Nadal d. Berdych 2-0
Ferrer d. Wawrinka 2-1

Nadal 3-0 6-0
Wawrinka 1-2 3-5
Berdych 1-2 3-5
Ferrer 1-2 2-5

In that case, percentage of game won should be the decider.

I don't get it what atpworldtour have been writing.. How can they say that novak has won the group.. What if today federer defeats del potro in straight sets and novak loses to gasquet in either 2 or 3 sets (although none of above is gonna happen) then win loss ratio of sets for federer will be 5-2 and for novak 5-4 or 4-4 if he loses in 3 or 2 sets.. So it's not decided yet who ll win the group. Correct me if I m wrong.

ATP knows its rules:

Head-to-head before percentage of sets or games.

I guess counting sets and game only applies when 3 players have the same win/loss ratio then. Otherwise when 2 players tie, one only need to check who won when they met.

Silly rule in my opinion. I think sets win loss ratio should be considered if players are tied.

I hope roger wins today.. I soo much wanna see federer-rafa semi

It is a silly rule. But it fits the silly tournament just fine.

Nice set.. I hope federer doesn't repeat his usual behaviour of gifting his serves in the final set

Edit: lol as expected 2-0 to del Porto
