That's cause he's actually playing on grass. Next week he'll be playing on dirt. No worries. 8)

Nadal break straight back, kinda bottled it really unfortunately for darcis. Nadal is just blocking the ball back off the serve for the most part, this is where I would like to see guys come forward and finish it straight away as it will make people think twice about blocking it back.

3-3 tiebreak

Great point at 5-3, big hitting from both.

Update: darcis 7-6 (7-4). Hope he can keep this level up.

Rafa needs soccer shoes NOW, to work that baseline into clay by the 4th-5th set.

The only guy who can beat Nadal is done. Again, no worries. 8)

Reference: Year after upsetting Nadal, Rosol loses in first round

Nadal breaks Darcis for 6-5, for Darcis to break straight back, mirror of the 1st set. Thought he might capitulate but fair play to him. Tiebreak will be interesting, I'm sure Nadal didn't want this on his first match away from clay!

Darcis with minibreak, 4-2.

Nadal doing absolutely anything to avoid hitting a backhand, and on returns is hitting it off the right foot, has the knee gone?
