The event where it's not about the players, it's about the countries! Talk about the great Davis Cup here.

Especially to find a solution to have people playing with players from their countries, and everyone with the Davis Cup outfits for each countries, one of the two countries hosts the match and can chose whatever court they want. Everything that can create the sensation de play like in real Davis Cup is great for the immersion. 8)
I really appriciate your feedback Richie. You just explained what is the main of my idea only with one word - immersion! Well that's what I'm talking about! To feel the great emotions that can give to us Davis Cup! ;)

I totally agree on the idea to play with our national caracters, given the fact we talk a lot about that earlier on another topic (and I never heard one people contestating it).

Well, it is your idea by the way :!: ;) I just made it better.

EDIT: I don't think that there is anyone who is against this idea, but their is one person who have to have the time, the nerves and of course to want to make the 2nd roster like some of the testers, which will help a lot to Davis Cup. I repeat again that I'm free everyday to help with testing from 30th of June to 1st of August. So for the 2nd plan, the better plan, we will have to know the decision of one great man - Elias.

Audition is on for team Ireland. Your best chance to be in a team where everyone is equal, preferably ELO 1050+. Come on in and you won't be disappointed. Contact me with your details and I'll consider you for our team.

Hey UCHIHA mate, my good friend :P, if you still recruiting some players from other countries im up for it since im eager to play DAVIS CUP but as a single slovakian at ITST its no possible to play for my country, however i would still eagerly played for Ireland as my own country.
If we talk about a skill, you know im quite good player and you know it best coz we spar a lot last weeks. So if itst admins will allow to recruit players from country to country im up to represent Ireland.

You made a big mistake which would cost you your life if you said this 30 years ago. That Ireland is not part of UK but rather EU

How about yourself? Are you recruiting people to Bulgaria? As far as I know there is only you and no one else. I'm sure you want to play in Davis Cup considering the amount of free time you said you will have

I'm glad about you have now a team guys, but please make other topic like C4ill did, because this topic is not for recruiting teams. Nothing personal.

I am really sorry if I insulted you with something.

Well, my solution is: multiple account. :c

By the way, I'm far more for the second idea, allowing Italians to play with Fed-Wawrinka is a total nonsense. As allowing them playing with Gasquet or Swiss : this country is too specific :)

Just to make things clear, for now, you can only form a Team with your country man. Open a thread and wait till others respond. You may want to send pms/emails to possible participants.'

Please DO NOT make up your own teams from different country, you will be wasting your time as they will not be approved for registration with the Davis cup.

Use this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=1081&t=17747

...to post your name and the country. But please do give a good few days for your country man to respond, and please do try to contact your country man who are possibly taking a break from the tour. You cannot declare yourself Team-less with Zero effort of recruiting and a few days of waiting.

Once you posted, wait. Once most other teams are formed, we will go over this thread and create teams based on proximity.

Dimitrov's idea is great in theory but in practice not so much. Let's take a look at Croatia or Bulgaria. One player. All matches playing with one player and doubles with 2 same players. Boring. On the other hand Spain or France have amazing rosters, lots of variety with baseliners, volleyers and so on.. Not fair unless major roster expansion so countries with some solid top 100 players have them to use. Lets say Karlovic for Croatia, disgrace of baseliner but has great serve which can lead to good result in doubles.

Yes, you're just gonna generate a random team and I'll be in a team where I don't know anybody. I know what my dream was you know what I'm sayin'.

P.S. I sent pm to everybody from Ireland. Even though some of them aren't active since February.

You can't be sure about the "random teams" as I know Al, it is not going to be random. ;)
