Considering the potential SF, it would probably be against Ferrer ; I think Ferrer will win.
Anyway, even if Monfils lost today after he had 4 match points, I'm really impressed. Everybody said that Berdych was gonna kill him, including me. Then everybody said Gulbis was. But he won those two matches anyway ; very impressive...and pleasant !
Tsonga hasn't played well yet since WTF 2011 (except vs Djoko at RG 2012 and vs Fed at AO 2013 where i really thought both bh and returns improved), he can't concentrate for a long period and still has no gameplan which is always gonna make the difference vs the current top 5 on most surfaces (except grass).
I'm not sure at all that Ferrer will reach SF if he meets Almagro first, they had a very tight match this year at the AO where Almagro seemed superior.
Well Tsonga made a good Monte-Carlo ! But I can't remember what he did in Madrid, and I won't talk about Rome.
However, he was really close to the victory against Djokovic last year (
EDIT : My mistake, you said that already). Now as you said, he has a real concentration issue, but I wish the fact he plays in his country will help...and trust me, I'm one of those who reproach Tsonga for a looot of things.
Finally, about Ferrer and Almagro, well... I'm not sure Almagro even beat Ferrer on clay ! And Ferrer is definitely in a better form, just need to watch his matches against Nadal in Madrid and Rome. Plus, it's a 5 sets game : Almagro simply can't win 3 sets in a match against Ferrer, I think.
