An ugly match so far in my opinion without far less rythm than with berdych

Not a great match so far because Ernie is serving very well, but as I said yesterday, Monfils took the 2nd set because Gulbis can't hit 150+ km/h shots all match long without missing. Now Monfils' chance is to get inside Gulbis' head, otherwise those 2 long sets are going to feel heavy in Monfils' legs.

I don't know, I cannot see it. :)

Stats show the story though. AS I thought, mostly Gulbis's terms....but he doesn't seem to be playing well?

He has double of Winners and Erros of Monfils.

That is not wrong, in fact, this is part of the plan. Either way, win the set or lose, Monfils is putting in the miles running while Gulbis giving him no rhythm.

4 winners 7 faults from Monfils in second set, and he won the set, it's interesting to see his tactic is totally different than two days ago

Its not tactics, its inability to cope, generate rhythm.

Gulbis is NOT Berdych. Berdych gives you rhythm to work with and to get used to.

Gulbis lost twice his serve in a row, Monfils definitely in his head atm. Still no rackets broken though ^^

I do not agree, Monfils just hits the ball stronger now, it seems he's now at 100% in the match. You just hear the difference in the sound ;)

Exactly what I was about to say.

Want to talk about the net caught by Monfils on break point on 5-5?
