Corbon wrote:Fed isn't getting younger. He is close to 32 now. He hasn't won a tournament since Cincinnati '12, on one of the fastest surfaces on tour. He hasn't even reached a final this year. Of course you shouldn't underestimate him in Grand Slams but there's no way he can beat a healthy Nadal or Djoker on clay. As for Wimbledon, Murray can make it big this year, he has proven that he can beat all the big guys in a best of five match.

Edit: When I see posts by Steyolololol I really hope that "the best player ever" is going to retire soon without winning a calendar grand slam, a Davis Cup title, an Olympic gold medal in singles and a 10-19 or worse record vs Nadal so all his fantards will shut up for good.

The "tired, old 32 year old Federer" beat Novak in last years Wimbledon semi final, Murray in the final. He crushed Novak in Cincinnati,At age 31, beat Murray in the World tour finals, was neck and neck with Novak in the WTF final, played a 5 set match in the Aussie open semis against a 25/26 year old Murray, albeit eventually loosing. If he can play like that against the top players in their prime, he'd crush them in his prime.

Take your fantard speech somewhere else. And get my name right next time.

Federer is still damn good, there is no disputing that. No one has, actually. That said, there is no denying the fact that his game is slipping - and when players slip, they usually land somewhere near the base of the hill. And if you want to argue that fact, then tell me, why isn't John McEnroe still collecting titles?

With regard to Corbon's "fantard" comment, come on, even you must have smiled at that one. I did. Matter of fact, fantard is my new favorite word.

"Cro Morgan
• Federer is over the hill - done winning Slams (Nope, not even Wimbledon this year, sorry Fed fans)."

"Corbon
Federer won't win shit."

"Clog
- Federer seems to be dead (Yes, he does...), but almost nobody would have thought he could beat Djokovic in 2011, right ?
But he did ! So why wouldn't he be able to surprise us again ?"

I agree no player can continue forever, and Its without doubt Fed will decline. But the above sentences, really need a bit of knowledge behind them. After all, it was due to the above sentences I even replied in this thread in the 1st place.

I agree with styelol. I hate when people thrash roger saying he's done.. I ve been listening all this "roger is done" thing from the last 5 years... Federer looks very sharp this week. I hope he can keep it up.. If so then He can upset rafa in Rome final

The same stuff was said about Sampras and we all know how it turned out. Fed still has it.

Good to see I am getting some support here. At the end of the day, Fed is in now in the semi's of Rome.

Enjoy.

Level 13 Edberg and counting...

you mean 1 player out of 4 was at that age group?

If only you were anything like Fed at 30 plus, maybe than you could trash talk.

Don't get excited over Nadal on clay. Its only like.. his best surface that suits his playstyle to the T.

I'm not, don't worry, i got exited years ago but nowadays i'm used to watching him winning on clay, but to be honest.. not only on clay, i do have to admit that i got super exited when he beat Roger in Australia and Wimbledon...yep guilty.

Well it's pointless to discuss this.. People will keep underestimating federer for no good reason but again he shuts everyone up by winning at the end of the day.. Just because he has lost some early matches doesn't mean he's done..

I agree, and not only Federer, Nadal is done since years ago according to internet voodoos , just surf the net and you'll see thousand of threads with Federer is done and Rafa is done, and someday, of course, it'll be true.., this year these 2 are still really competitive
