TE tour is 1 year old!

US Mens Clay Court Championship marks 1 year of the TE tour on ITST. We came a long way and I am happy to see our tour going strong.

It's only a year old? I had the feeling that this tour has been going on since 2010. Now I understand why Kyuuji and TWM fox guys have so high seed ranks yet they're not that impressive any more.

They have cashed in when the tour was new. LOL

So we were completely crushed at beggining. But even at US Open, they dominated whereas the level was already great in game, so they deserve a lot of credits

One year already, I can feel the ITST Mod age of myself -- time spent on and off the court regarding the ITST Mod.
I remember how only few players had some experience with TE when the tour started. Most players back then were noobs on the tour because they bought the game just 4 weeks before the first tournament started. It was more like Future/Challenger tour at the moment with a couple of steamrollers. Overall, it was very exciting because it was about learning the game and catching up with the more experienced players (kyuuji and Fox).

Now kyuuji and Fox are rarely seen online and they still can play on a great level at times (see kyuuji at Indian Wells or Fox at WTF/AO). If they played more they would have better results again, I'm sure of it. These days one has to catch up with other players, but the atmosphere is different.

Personally, I've revisited my schedule regarding our tour's first birthday and will play Monte Carlo -- VultureMoe is born.

I hope that next year the tour will be going as strong as it is now or better and to do so the ITST Mod has to be improved in certain areas. There are always things which one can take a look at regarding stats and, yes, nitpicking about TE's gameplay ("The devil is in the detail.") is also an option. Feedback from the public beta test known as TE Tour on ITST is valuable as always.

PS: How on earth we played through these desyncs, I don't know. That "Move quickly left/right to avoid desyncs on serve/return!" was memorable.

Ahaha this was insane indeed ! Glad to see you'll play Monte Carlo

The next step for the mod is definitely the Spec Mod ! There must be something on Internet that would allow us to stream easily without bandwitch problems.

It's been a great year.
I grew as a TE gamer along with this community and I'm sure most of us wouldn't have predicted how the tour would grow within a year.We could barely fill one 16 player draw back then!

Many thanks to everyone who gave their free time to make our mod as great as it is today and allow us enjoy this tour!

A very special tour deserved to grow up exponentially after a year! So sad to have not being part of it since the begininning, even if, joining it in July, I'm still one of the firsts Next year: 500 players!
But djarvik were you joking or will I really get 500 extra points?
