This very funny match. Stepanek played in the 1st Set far better than Tsonga. Thank Stepanek. It's a great partner!! :)

Trivia decisions and better use of breakpoints.

I'm in the 2nd set occasionally tried to modify the game, more short-ball ... inefficiently. I made more mistakes and your opponent played better network than in the 1st Set.

In 3rd set, I do not know what I was doing wrong. But the opponent did not make mistakes and be exact. I was scattered about and did not know what to do.

In the struggle very hard to keep the service. I think it's easier breakpoints to win service. :)

100 attack on the network is a very nice statistics.

Yeah I had the same feeling as Dakra, the match was extremely fun to play. The points were very various and there is definitely a very specific technique & very specific skills to be great here.

I mean you must master lobs/dropshots/smash extremely well + the volleys. The cross court are also essentials. In fact it's a very good way for anybody to increase your global level (even mentally).

About the match we played with Dakra (Llodra-Stepanek), well, I won it 3-6, 6-1, 6-0 with Llodra-Tsonga. Dakra was really good in the first set but his level lowered in the two next while mine increased.

Tsonga made 17 winners and 17 or 18 faults, Stephanek did exactly the same. Me I did like 19 winners and 17-18 faults.
The difference was with Dakra who hit 4 or 5 winners for 24 mistakes I think.

The learning of the match is simple : the key in double, it's to avoid faults. Always get a secure positioning at the net to close the angles for instance, never go on your teammate side etc. Once you have understood that, it becomes far less random than it can appears first. And I really enjoy it. I really hope we will have doubles expert, because it will be a great challenge to face them without practice :c

ps : I can't enter the score on the tournament page ?

Dimitrov just beat my french team 6-2 7-6.
I did more winners but twice more faults :s

First set, he was really better, doing less faults etc. Tsonga was also as bad as me ^^

Second set : he led 4-2, I came back because me and my Tsonga's friend increased the level. At 5-5, we broke and I served for the set at 6-5. We went to 30-a but Dimitrov managed to break back.

On the tie-break we both had the lead, I had a set point he saved, and he won the set. It was once again really entertaining with various points !

G.Dimitrov (BUL)/Baggie def. Terminator/Tsonga 6/2 7/6

Hm, really I had a lot of fun in this match. I was laughing a lot when the Terminator was trying to hit Tsonga with his racket when he was doing UEs. And when I tried to hit Baggie he was running from me. :x :D.

1st set: I was dominating, because of Tsonga, who was doing a lot of errors. I broke him in the start, but then he rebroke and the result was 2-2. Then I didn't lose a game to the end of the set, so I won it.

2nd set: Tsonga started to play better than Baggie and to make less errors, so it was pretty close. We broke each other once to 5-5, when he broke me and was serving for the 2nd set, here I broke him, because I didn't lose my mental, because it was really funny to play! So the tiebreak was really close and I thought that I can lose it, but I won it really hard, so and the match.

I'm proud of beating the best volleyer in the tour on doubles! :) It is really funny to play on doubles, so I see a great future for a doubles tour! :) I wanna wish the Terminator good luck! It is every time nice to play with a good buddy! :)

PS: I have to tell that it is really sad to see that only 4 players are interesting in doubles tour(no other players played their matches -_- ). This tournament have to finish as fast as possible to have the feedback as fast as possible to start the next test tournaments and at the end to start a tour and then we can have a Davis Cup. So guys, please be serious!

Federer/Wawrinka vs Tsonga/Llodra

Well played from both parts, this match between indiantonike and I was fun. Doubles is fun. But I think we aren't ready to create a doubles tour yet, because the volley system, with his jumps and other problems with slow balls and low volleys, just doesn't fit this mode. When TE will have a better volley system and a better AI, doubles will be great.

However, the match was balanced and the difference was made by me (Federer) keeping all my service games, also scoring more or less all the aces of my team. Also lobs made a difference because I scored some importants points with them. The match was balanced, despite the games and points gap. Lots of games were won after more than one deuce. My partner (Wawrinka) was a pain in the ass and made lots of errors and one double fault. He also continuously spammed lobs, making my opponents easily smashing and catching the point. It was very hard to win his service games, cause he just sucked. Indian's partner (Llodra), instead, even if losing more than one service game, was way better than Wawrinka, hitting good serves and better volleys.

I'm afraid that matches can be won just exploiting AI handicap. We'll see.

Vramvrim (Raonic/Tsonga) def. Martan (Llodra/Stepanek) 7-5, 6-0

I don't really know how to describe this match. It was my first TE doubles match online. I just tried to be consistent at the net and to make tricky shots for my opponent when I was on the baseline. There were some cool points, good angles, and bad unforced errors sometimes. I didn't really have a tactic for this match, but I could rely on big serves. I was broken once in the first set but managed to break back, and later made another break at 5-5. The second set was quicker, with lots of unforced errors by Stepanek.

I think net play on this game is very tricky. Placement, reaction time and anticipation are the keys. Maybe some double specialists will emerge from nowhere. :o Overall, doubles are a little messy for now, but fun to play.

I guess no one is interested in continuing with the tournament?

I will close it out this Friday if no more matches are played.

I'm interested in it! I really don't understand why players are joining tournaments, when they are not interested in it :?: :!:  :x

I guess people understood that double tour isn't interesting, you can't play a tour with an AI partner

I can't find Alex Jasmins recently... howerer is there any way to check if the opponent's AI is set to master 2? I had some troubles with Alex Jasmins, cause we started our match like 2 weeks ago, but when I was leading 3-0 he started saying that my AI was better than master 2 and then he chose to retire (...), but it doesn't make any sense, as this is a test tourney, my main aim is to test this mode, not to win LOL. After some minutes he asked me to re-play the match from 3-0 because he noticed that his AI was on pro 2, and finally asked me to restart from 0-0... so I'm asking if there's a way to verify that your opp is playing with the correct difficulty (by match logs or some other ways...). My feeling is that, without being able to check your opponent's AI, this doubles tour would not have a reason to exist... Another idea is to set the standard AI to pro10 or master10, so players can't increase their sublevels without increase their level. The difference between pro and master, etc. is more evident than the one between sublevels.

Sure there will be a way using the CRC. (there will be distinct CRC numbers for AI characters, the difficulty level being used to calculate it). But as you said it's a test tournament, thus we didn't provided CRC for AI master 2 level for now. It's just meant to test the doubles.. pretty stupid reaction indeed.
