I was rooting for Federer but I'm glad Murray won. Federer would have been eaten alive by Djokovic in the final. With Murray, at least we'll seem some good tennis (before he gets eaten alive).

Well, if the final goes on the "battle point by point" way, I think Djokovic will eat Murray too.
Today, the italian commentator said a very smart thing: if the opponent of Federer were Nadal or Djokovic, Roger wouldn't believe so hard in a comeback.
Rafa and Nole would never let him recover.

But today, Federer proved once more he is a true Champion.
Murray didn't yet. He played fantastic in first 3 sets, except for that incredible error in the tie break, but when you have a 2-1 lead, you must end the match.
But he trembled in the decisive moments, and a Champion doesn't.

Djoko didnt exactly kill off Stan when 2-1 up in their match. Im not surprised Federer believed he could come back, considering his Grand Slam record over Murray, but Andy replied mentally in convincing fashion to see off Fed in the 5th set after the set back of the 4th set, he would have lost it a year ago without a doubt. I think Djoko will win the final in 4 or 5 sets but I can see it going the other way aswell, the last two 5 setters Murray has contested were wins over Djoko and Fed, its got to give him confidence.

Well, yes, Djokovic survived a scary match against Wawrinka, but after the first 2 sets, the match became very spectacular from both players.
I mean, Wawrinka kept fighting and Nole started playing well, eventually.

But after a match like this, the Champion become more confident cause he was almost eliminated, but he's still in game for the final win.
In fact, against Berdych, Djokovic literally had full control of the match. He lost the 2nd set just cause his level lowered a little bit.

But yes, I also think Murray can win too, but it will be important for him to serving like he did today against Federer.
If I have to put this match on percentages, I'd say 55% Nole 45% Murray.

Great point, Djokovic has looked imperious since his epic against Stan, despite the second set loss to Berdych. I think the fact that Murray was actually tested over a full five sets instead of the stroll he had prior to this will set him up quite well for a potential blockbuster with Djokovic, barring fatigue.

I think your bang on about the serve, Andy has to serve at his optimum to give himself a chance, given Djokovic's formidable return game. All in all im very much looking forward to the final and may the best man win.

murray needs the "never-give-up" and champions spirit..he doesnt have it still.i'd actually say hes more talented than djoko but the problem lies with area between his ears,he played badly today.i stopped watching after 7-6,6-7, he could have broken djoko at 1-0 (novak serving) and 0-40. But he didnt, and the worst part, he never TRIED breaking him. he was happy just holding his serve and putting the ball in the court. not sure what lendll told him, but this was a pathetic tactic!!! i now wish fed had got to the final, it would have been far more exciting -- coming from a murray fan!
