Yeah, I think Suarez may be worth it. We paid £26m for Torres, and that was definitely worth it, but we have made poor purchases in years since, while selling players for too little. Personally, I want to blame Damien Comolli for that whole mess last year with Carroll, Henderson and Downing but luckily he isn't with us anymore. :D

We had a much better summer in terms of spending, but not in terms of actually buying players. Which is a shame. :(

But yeah, that would indeed be quite a decent amount of money. It's like Porto and Falcao - they bought him for, I think it was £3m at the time, and they sold him to Atletico for £30.

How much do you think he would fetch, were Ajax to sell him? I would assume not the £33m. :P

33 mil is way to much money for a player like him. but i´m sure some clubs are insane enough and pay that prize ,stupid

bayern münchen never would do this - they buy only cheap player, with little money , like they did by xavi martinez
the world is insane

I wouldn't expect it to be £33m, that is just the price Liverpool paid for him in a Fifa Manager game.

Madrid played great, and Özil was spectacular today, 2-2

I didnt see the match. Was it more like the match in Spain with a very defensive Celtic playing on the breakaway or where they more attackive in this match?

It really doesn't matter. Damn near impossible to take the game to Barca and attack. Football is not just who can attack the best. Great defensive displays seem to get slaughtered these days and not given the credit they deserve. Barcelona will have damn near every team at 65% possesion pluss so attacking is hard. Yeah we tried to attack more in second half Still have an amazing home record in the champions league. Fortress Celtic park

I was told Celtic had 16% possession, or something.

But still, a win is a win and I'll congratulate you guys, because it was awesome. I was out at the Pub and they were showing the score and I was getting increasingly incredulous.
