Why should i buy TE and play in ITST?

I wanted to ask this long time ago, before TE was itnroduced to ITST and Djarvik asked me what i thought about it. I just played the demo and it intrigued me. I found it a bit hard to learn and master, but the truth is i didn't spend enough time on it.

Now, after some time i m willing to give it another go. Before i think about it in a serious manner, i'd like some of you guys help me with some thoughts. What are the pros and cons of this game and particular on the ITST tour?
