Laura Robson On the Up?

Laura seems to have really come on since Wimbledon, beating some pretty strong opposition including the 3 top ranked Chinese players in the last two tournaments alone. What are your thoughts on her, her game and what she can achieve with her career. Discuss. :)

A bit too early to judge but her potential is pretty big. Her serve and forehand are already very potent and mentally she was very strong at the USO.

Let's see how long she will keep her current new coach. If it doesn't last, she can always ask Judy Murray :)

I think her experience at the Olympics has given her alot of confidence, and a lengthy spell without being injured seems to have led to more consistency and the ability to put a strong run of wins together.

There's no doubt she has the ability to be top 10 considering she's still only 18, and she doesn't seem fazed by the big stage against the world's best, she just isn't scared of them and can match the majority for power. This new coach looks pretty handy and has worked on her movement, if he works on other aspects it could only be a matter of time before she's winning a few tourns.

Yeah, I like her. Should be a good player if she can avoid injuries. Will win a slam one day.

This is good. She is good and English. I'm being nice to this kid cause i like her. The female game is so wide open for A. Everyone being equally bad
B. Any real consistency so a slam within 5 years.

She's a young women, topsy turvy matches are to be expected. :P

Hopefully she can use it as a learning experience, and she can iron out her serves and her nerves.

Nah, it just seems weird to me that Britain has another top tennis player, or potential top tennis player, other than Andy Murray.

Plus, I wanted to make a pun about ironing when talking about a woman.
