US Open 2012 - Kyuuji vs. Robbin92 R16 video.

Postby Elias » Thu, 13 Sep 2012 01:18

Kyuuji (Djokovic) vs. Robbin92 (Federer) 4-6 7-6 6-4 7-6

This match is like a Final before the final, quality wise, and definitely deserved a full length video.

720p available this time :!:

Game at 6-4 4-4 was key in my opinion.
Here Kyuuji worked away a 0-40 on his service.
Though I'm happy with my fighting spirit, espacially in the fourth set saving four matchpoints.
However it's unbelievable how I gave away a 3-1 lead in the tiebreak to a 7-3 win for Kyuuji. The forehand is miss at 3-1 is really bad for a point that important.

Thanks for uploading Elias!

This is the first time I watched a TE video and it looked pretty damn good - looked more realistic than TS4 and THERE ARE UNFORCED ERRORS  .... is there a post in which the TE gameplay is explained, would be interesting to know for me. Unfortunately I have nothing but a 7 or 8 year old laptop at the moment, but I might buy something new soon, maybe I join the tour then.

PS: is there something like the riskshot in the old Topspin games   ?

Look here for a documentation, where the gameplay is explained: http://www.managames.com/tennis/doc/Ten ... _Game.html

There is no risk button, so you kind of cannot go all or nothing on a shot. But there is the risk you would expect from a good tennis game: Aiming for the lines, the acceleration shots have low margin for positioning errors, short accelerations have even lower margin for errors and the earlier you take a shot the more you risk an error.

So basically: b1+b2 is the shot with the most risk (volleys, smashes, groundstrokes and serve), b2 is the safest shot and b1 is in-between.

By the way, my PC is five years old and back then it wasn't anything high-end, only an on-board graphics card. So, you can give it a try with the lowest settings in 3D mode or try the 2D mode.

As you can put the ball exactly where you want, even in the public for every shots, the risk is always there.

Some guys here have won tournaments by playing secure tennis (Elias with Ferrer on clay at Hambourg), other guys plays maximum risky style (Robbin with Berdych, Fox with Fed).

Everything can be successful. With Nadal for instance, the goal is to play everytime on Fed BH and wait for faults, as in real life. With Fed or Berdych, 2-3 shots. Murray and Djokovic are more in the middle regarding their top spin statistics.

Regarding your previous results and your amazing management of risk andt the timing required to always hit great risky shots, TE is made for you ^^

Come on the chat when you'll be ready, the community is absolutely great ;)

a great game, hands down.
Can't get why big companies like 2K can't do the same

I bought the game yesterday and immediately loved it. Unfortunately I could only play offline so far, I tried everything but I can't get rid of the "port 4321" issue, so I can't host matches at the moment. On the other hand I could join only 1 match, as most of the other guys had a different version than me. BTW, I loved the game a little bit less, as I lost it 6-0 6-1 ( :c ), but I still loved it  ...

Have you forwarded the port in your router? Firewall blocking something? Now convince some other guys you know well from the old days. :P

I could help you with the port issue if you wish later this week. Most of the rooms online are for the original game instead of with the ITST mod. If you join the ITST chat (through the link on the main forum) there are always players ready to play. What some people do is install two versions of TE11 on their machine. One for with the ITST mod and one for without the ITST mod. That way they can play everyone.

Great, I really need tips, lost yestersay a 2nd time against the same guy, again only scored 1 game, and I got aced almost every single time he executed a "perfect" serve, what happened pretty often... returning seems to be very hard in this game, or is it just me and my return skills.... ?
