I'm banging on 5'7 5'8. Do you feel it gives you a great disadvantage playing agaonst people of 6foot and over?

I think height clearly benefits you greatly when you're serving and volleying. The serve is going to be more powerful and you have a greater chance of getting it over the net when you need to, while having a wide armspan is great for dismissing passing shots.

At 6"3 though when I play tennis at the moment the main thing people notice about me is my poor movement and footwork, and I'm hardly the slowest person if I was running a race so for mobility side to side its a pain being so tall. If you look at the pro tour Berdych and Del Potro are obviously good examples of this in that their movement isn't great, while the likes of Ferrer can track balls down all day long from the back.

mmm well in my opinion the lack of flexibility is what makes Del Po and Berdych not as good as the shorter guys. Djokovic is 6'2=188cm (i am 6'2 as well and i can't move like he does), Ferrer is 5'9=175cm, and...well in my opinion Nole is even better than Ferrer at movement.

You don't want to be to tall if you are gonna be a surgeon. Will be harder to see what you are doing.

Im about 180, so about 5.10/5.11. Really annoying,as a child I always wanted to surpass 6 foot, at 19 its not looking so likely :(
