what do u guys think? is it better to have 84 fh and 64 bh or 79 fh 69 bh? i'm inclined for the second option but wanted a second opinion on this

I'd go with 84 64 in that instance

Same here. This gives you a "weapon" in 84 and a strategy advantage in knowledge that your opponent will attempt to exploit your weak side.

but how can i use that tactical advantage in my favour? if the other guy puts a lot of pressure on the bh i'm going to lose points, what i mean is, is the tactical advantage preferable over a better bh?

I use something like 88fh 58bh, and very few people can really exploit it.

I use a lot of defensive shots on my bh (high loopy topspin, and deep slice), try to hit my bh down the line (so my opponent will go crosscourt to my fh), and try to hit a lot of inside out fh's. When I hit my bh down the line, I usually hit slow deep slices, so I have time to cover the crosscourt shot, or have time to run around and hit a fh.

Some really good players can take advantage of it (like ILuvBillVal), but I believe they could take advantage of any weaknesses.

I like to play power shots to the lines with my 85 power.So my recommendation here is 79FH 69BH, because i dont like yellow stats, so i think if u wanted the second option its okay and the best. But it depends also about how u like to play. Perhaps first option is better if u wanna use control shots , and second option is better for powershots.

i use control shots more than power shots 70-30 more or less i use deep control slice often but i don't tend to use deep topspin shots i'm going to build another character and try it out thanks for the replies guys

Like u said if u play more control shots then i am gussing you are a def baseliner type of player so for that you need good wings you should go with 79/69 because your power will
Be less than off baseliner you need good wings to construct points against off baseliners and have favourable results..
