The Making of Sabine Lisicki

Periodically I suppose I will attempt to make pros and such and try and share what I've come up with. It's either a hit or miss sometimes and Lisicki is definitely a hard one to copy with the tools provided. However, I am trying and as soon as I master her look I will update the progress...but for now..here is what I've come up with for my Sabine Lisicki model. It needs a little tweaking so please feel free to offer suggestions...Thank you!!

This is awesome, and it only took you ten minutes?! Like you say she is a really hard player to re-create and I've tried numerous times to make her but your version is definitely the best, do you mind if I use this to create a new version of her?!

The only differences I would make are that there's a different ponytail type which I think is more like hers and her hair is lighter/more blonde, but that's about it, great job!

I made an attempt last night to create her and after alot of stopping and pausing of the video, especially on the expert editor, I think I managed to get it near enough spot on to yours. I managed to get the wrong service action though which makes a huge difference to how effective my serve is so now I have to do it all over again haha!

How do you make players this accurately? Do you go from images? It seems like you know what to change even if its the smallest detail, I just kind of guess and hope for the best when creating a player, you should be working for 2K on player creation!

Great effort anyway, now Lisicki will look the part at the US Open even if an early exit is likely just like in real life! I feel like I owe you something now, maybe a walkover for you if we meet in another tournament perhaps? .

Exactly...when I create a player I use LOTS of images. Usually don't use still shots from tennis play because the looks of the ladies aren't represented as well as what they actually look like. I look at a lot of shots taken off the court. Finding the details in close-ups and profile shots. Eye color, skin tone, cheekbones, lip size, neck length etc. is all important and can be manipulated using the creation tool. Typically now, with practice, I can already see a player inside one of the provided models. The face model I used for the Lisicki video is the exact model I used for Kournikova, but the Advanced editor allowed me to manipulate the face differently for a different outcome. I say have fun with it and get used to making several just by looking at pictures and it will come to you.

Cool, yeah I know what you mean, when I've attempted to make her before I've tried to use the off court shots as she looks totally different on court. I've finished creating her now, she looks awesome! We'll have to have a match sometime so I can show you her! A battle of the Lisicki's maybe?
