The player creator and the soundtrack were much better though.
the volleying was actually a lot easier too, if you add your points freely in this game that would be nice 70 in all areas would be nice as they would orange meaning play an all court game would be more viable even with op setups

Interesting point. I hope 5 will be awesome too! Never played 1 but 3 was a lot of fun!

I find most of the powerhitters I meet in WT have awful timing - as long as I hold my serve (and I'll serve it wide without fail against these cretins), I keep my control shots consistently deep, tire them out and eventually they make a mistake. Gotta wear them down through longer rallies.
These people have shorter attention spans, so it tires their little brains as well :)

Of course this tactic is only really effective with longer matches...

Of all the cheese styles, wide serving is the one I hate the most. When I play 2K I always refuse to play against Roddick (50% wide serving ****s) and Nadal (plain overpowered). In WT I don't really mind MD that much. Glitch returns are also despicable but it's hard to tell whether they're accidental or deliberate.

Yeah you can't create someone like Agassi with his 172 wings and 80 Reflex in TS4. And, for example, you can't create a player with a mediocre serve and high power either, highest gap is like 21 points with coaches like Neuwirth who only add to Power. On the other hand, coaches are a great addition but they require more fine tuning.

In TS3 the best pros like Federer also had 600 overall points, considerably more than the player with 560 but the CPU sucks on all levels.

I HAAAAAATE this GUYS....

I am to stupid to win.

Really, i am not sooo bad, i have a 1-4-15 with Dipesa now, and i win 80-90% of my World Tour Games.

But i have Problems against 98/98 with 71/71 Wings. When they can play this game. Noobs are not the problem, but Power-Guys with level 25 or higher are impossible to beat. Really impossible!!!!!!!
I can not play every point perfect. But 1 hit not perfect and that´s was it. Point for the Overpowered Opponent.

What can i do against:

1.) 2-3 Aces / Service Game
2.) Serving Outside and than: 1-2-Punch---->Death
3.) They have no Stamina, but they hit every Ball sooo hard and in a Ralley, they run to every ball. I don´t know what to do...

Help me....

Return the ball up and into them. Hit control shots at them as well. In my experience the WT power players are typically the least talented players and almost ALWAYS try and hit power shots. Deep returns and fast control shots into the body will force a boatload of errors or crappy shots back to you for easy winners.
Norberto H or bust.

Stay on the base line for the return.

2.) Serving Outside and than: 1-2-Punch---->Death

Use lobs.

Try the samala setting. 0-0-20 1/3 backhand. The last TS4 update ruined the gameplay so the power settings are more overpowered and its much harder to play long defence shots wtihout monster defence skill or good FH/BH.Without control shots its hard to win against these guys.

Gotta disagree with that one. Lob returns are cheesy.
A simple deep topspin shot is all you need to buy enough time to cover the next ball.

Everything ILuvBillVall said is good advice.

Are you supposed to serve only up the middle?

And if your opponent serves only wide, then you know where the serve is going. If you can't counter a serve when you know where it's going, then it's your problem.

Do you mean serving from the tramlines? That's different.

Unbelievable...

I play against a 100 Power player. He can play and uses the Game mechanic.
Outwide services, all (!) powershots as approach shots.

Are those players invincible???

I play really, really good, with many, many perfect timed shots. Topspin, Slice, flats etc... but i don´t can win those games... (with an 1-15-4 Zajic 4/0)

Really frustating...
