Murray v Federer.

Postby Tamthewasp » Fri, 06 Jul 2012 19:19

First time a Scottish man has been in a Wimbledon Final. Federer is looking too break new records. Murray has a winning record just. 8-7 I think.

But how do these two match up vs each other. Mentally, physically and skill wise. Who has the edge. Whats Federer better at Murray than and vice versa. Try an be honest team.

Federer has the perfect forehand to do every shot with it... has a nice smooth serve that can put on pressure every opponent that he have, and mentally is more prepare than murray.. he is always relax 8) ... But.. murray has better movement in grass court than alot of the pros in the atp, he's serve wasn't good enough before, but seems that Ivan Lendl have improve he's serve and FH.. because the BH always for me is one of the best.. he is playing great and early 2012 he said that his improvements with Ivan are going to be notice in summer.. and there you go, it was true!

But i want RF to win his 17 title to put his record impossible for others! .. GO Roge!!!!

Murray is playing his best tennis ever, his match against Ferrer was superb, so he has his chances to beat Roger, don't think the Swiss can beat him in straights, it'll be a tough match
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Murray's serve in the last few matches is the best I have seen from him. Strong backhand too (he hit two 100+ mph winners with it against Ferrer). But will be break under pressure? I think the pressure is on him to finally prove in front of his home crowd that he can be a champion.

Federer's been through that many times, but for him the stakes are high; Record-tying 7 Wimby titles AND all-time leading No. 1 in one go. I don#t think he will miss this opportunity.

Murray has an 8-7 lead over Federer in their FedEx ATP Head2Head series, but has never beaten the Swiss in a best-of-five-set clash.

Haaaa . When am I not bro.

Murrays 2nd serve is still god aweful tho and Fed can just hit Winners when he wants. It's Murrays time.

one of Murray s key plays on grass is his great slice backhand, but that will not work at all against feds one hander and will just land sweet in the ripping zone. Murray's forehand has come on, and will need to be solid. Murray needs to keep the ball as deep as possible and drag out every rally from the off. both move well on the grass. Federer needs to keep a1st serve % over 70. both need to not be afraid of moving forward when needed, althoughthis isn't a concern so much for fed. conditions... tricky. Federer is the indoor matter, but will like a fast hot conditions more than slow heavy ones. overall I think it will be close and come down to the guy who takes their chances.

Roger should wear some protection.

I had a feeling early in this tournament that Murray would win.
Then I thought Tsonga would save us.

If Murray wins, I will be on the bottle all week.

It has the factors that can make it a classic. Federer can pretty much cement his place as the best ever, break Sampras record of most time at no.1 and equal a 7th Wimbledon title. Murray can get a 70+ year old hoodoo off a nations back. In all probability in front of the Queen aswell, and with Fred Perry looking down. No pressure then...

I just hope Murray doesnt fold and its all an anti climax. My heart says Murray but my head says Federer. All I can say is I will be a nervous wreck on Sunday.

If Murray wins you can bet he will already have a knighthood sewn up lol

If Henman can get an MBE for NOT reaching the final (or any other GS final) despite trying 8388 times, Murray should definitely be invested with an OBE or better. :)

Three Grand Slam finals for Murray and he has yet to win a set. Nothing.

Murray fans should be thinking "set" not "match" when it comes to Murray winning anything on Sunday.
