Oh my gosh! Have to agree with you after a long time

in my case with no exception, i'm bored by Federer, Djokovic, Murray and YES Nadal's game, we need a change. I wanna see Tsonga, Isner, Dimitrov, Harrison, Goffin, Bellucci etc

We need a change, "dude", but it's not like Bellucci is incredibly interesting compared to Nadal - he's just worse Nadal. Likewise Dimitrov is worse Fed.
;)

It's time for the young guns to step up - Tomic, Dolgo, Goffin, but they still haven't got the consistency required.

I think it is likely because the top 4 are so far ahead. We get to see them too much. Too much of anything, even good, becomes boring. I mean, I see the match and I feel like a Chess player, I just keep playing out the same rallies, moves, in my head. Like I know how it will play out from this point, or from that point, what each will do. As a partcicipant - it is fun, as a spectator - I want to be surprised, I want the unpredictability. I want to be entertained by every minute of it, not thinking out loud of what is going to happen in the next few points, games, sets - AND be right about it. It is only fun once, quickly gets old.

That is just it. Perfection is boring. You can't appreciate and be wowed by good without the bad. You then start being surprised by the bad: " Oh wow, look at Djokovic missing a stretched out wide BH on rally ball # 48 - very unlike him, surprising"

djarvik wrote:It didn't used to be like that. I used to love seeing Rafa play, when he was younger and used to go for a bit more on the run and a bit often too. There was a flare to his game, his own brand of finesse. Now - it is all percentage tennis.

Djokovic was fun to watch too, he also was going for a bit more, he was also missing a bit more too. Had a shaky serve. Now - percentage tennis. He got more consistent and stopped going for winners until the rally ball #25. Although I still enjoy the way he is returning!

Murray - was a puss, still a puss. He is a 6'3 but plays a game of a 5'8 pusher. Not because he can't - but by choice. This is horrible.

Federer is the only one who actually has balls. Even though sometimes they get in the way of him winning. Still got the finesse and magic at times. Still can win point in 3 strokes or less, unlike the rest of the Grinders.

Excellent post - I agree on pretty much all fronts.

The guy is obnoxious, can't stand his attitude on court. It makes me sick.

Please tell me what has murray achieved? Has he won a slam? has he won an a olympic gold? has he been ranked number 1 or 2?

A lot of players before murray has done what he has done. I would not say he has done anything special in his career, yet.

just because someone does not like a player does not mean you have to make them try and like them. we all have our opinions. I just don't like murray.

He has reached 2 in the rankings, im not saying that is an amazing achievement, but you asked the question.

Still, didn't he become only something like the 7th man in the open era to reach all four grand slam semi finals in one calendar year? Again im not saying that is special, but I imagine you have to be half decent to do that.

Some people just dont like Murray. Personally, I love the guy. I hope he wins Wimbledon just to see the fallout on these forums lol. I get stick from quite a few of my friends because I support him, I will take great pleasure shoving it down their throats if he ever does win a slam. If he does not then il still support the guy and take the flak.

He is a solid pro, he has had a career thus far, which im pretty sure most tennis players would like to have experienced. Maybe he is not a special player, but he is at the least a very good player who at least deserves a bit of recognition despite what you might think of his personality.

I'm huge a fan of Tsonga, Baghdatis and Monfils. Their tennis is so fun to watch and they put on a great show and have character. I am a Murray fan but I agree he needs to stop this pushing style, he has been more aggressive lately in his strokes which is encouraging. Tomorrow is kind of a win-win situation from my point of view as I love both Murray and Tsonga. I would prefer Murray to go through so we can stop this a billion years since a British person won a slam..

So much respect for all the top 100 guys, these guys are super tennis players. They're best tennis players in the WORLD, not in their town or neighborhood

Murray fans getting on like this is part of the reason people hate Murray ;)

The other reason is that Murray behaves like a spoilt brat on court (and plays like a pusher too often).

If murray ever wins a slam I will give him credit, that's why I said he hasnt done anything special, yet. The semis avchievement is nice, but special probably not.

Didnt realize he got to number 2, must not have had it long.

It's his attitude and style that dont suit me. His attitude reminds of donald young out there, and I cant stand donald young either

But back to the semis tomorrow. I like the chances of djokvoic and tsonga to get through.

lol I would not do that on here, just to my friends and workmates, trust me i get dogs abuse for my support of Murray :p

Even as a fan I have been frustrated with his play style at times in the past but he slowly seems to be adding more aggression.

Murray is mentally weak. Doesn't have the nerves to win a GS final.

Tsonga, Murray and Grandpa Federer don't stand a chance against an in-form Djokovic.

Bottom line: If Djokovic plays as well as he can play, the title is his.
