actually i was rooting for Federer, at his level now Rafa wouldn't have had problems to beat him once again in the final, on the other hand Novak will be a tougher opponent on clay for Rafa
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Nole did Fed a favour because now the Swissman won't get triple-bageled in the final.

No serious injury will be offset by winning the match.

First RG final for Nole and with that he's strengthened his No. 1 position.

He has to defend a lot after the French Open (Wimbledon, Montreal, Cincinnati Final, US Open). If he only makes the SF at Wimbledon or US Open it is a tremendous shift in points, so it still is a race between him, Nadal and Federer until after the US Open. If he wins the French Open, too, ok, the No. 1 is really strengthened. For this reason I hope Nadal wins on Sunday, but either way we will see history.

An injury shouldn't be part of any calculation and I am certainly not hoping for one to occur for either player.

Well both Nole and Rafa have many upcoming points to defend but who's going to beat them before reaching finals besides Federer?

The way Djokovic and Nadal are playing, surely this cannot be disregarded, but unlikely (and I don't hope so).

Federer only has a QF to defend at Wimbledon: Say he gets Djokovic in the SF again and wins it. Thus he'd make up a bit more than 2000 points. Right now, counting the points from this year's RG, he is 2970 points behind Djokovic. Nadal winning RG, Federer Wimbledon and it would be very interesting at the top -- something we have not seen in the recent years, because there was always one dominant player winning at least two of the slams in a season.

How many faults Fed did today... 60 or something ^^

I think, Nadal will win that in 4 sets on sunday. And that will be the most impressive match of all time. Except if it rains.

If Djokovic wins, he would have won 4 GS titles in a row. 8)

Or Nadal with his seventh RG title -- 4 GS titles in a row have been won before, but no one has ever won 7 RG titles (Sampras has 7 Wimbledon titles). Either way, history will be made.

Just having an odd feeling that Djokovic will pull this one off. I'm picking Djokovic in four or five sets.
