Idea for the next Top Spin...

Postby PerfectAce » Mon, 04 Jun 2012 18:13

Hi mates.

I put this text in another topic, but Slicer advised to open a new one.

After some time away from ITST, I decided to come back (maybe Roland Garros influence... hehe). With all this discussion about reality in TS4, I´d like to give a suggestion to Djarvik.

In FIFA 12, EA allowed us to customize stats of a lot of aspects of the game for the CPU or the User. For example, you can determine the percentage of shots that go out, percentage of wrong passes and a lot more.

With that in mind, what do you think to suggest 2K to do something similar in the next Top Spin? We would be able to determine the percentages of a lot of things, like:
- 1st and 2nd flat serve error rate
- percentage of too soon shots that go to the net
- percentage of too late shots that go out...

There´s too many things I could list here, but it would be really nice to be able to do something like that. IMO, If 2K do that, they would create a game suitable for simulations fans or arcade players.

What do you thing guys?

If they do make a ts5 that would be great since they even put it in their crappy baseball game that's been the same for 6 years.

Edit: the challenge would be making it so these stat changes could work on player matches as well and are not exploitable in any way.

Hello

Yes, this solution with the too soon shots and too late shots would be great. More realistic in my opinion. And a control shot maybe has to be shot perfect, otherwise it will land on the outside or into the net or have just a high percentage to create an error, if not hit clean.

1st and 2nd flat serve error rate:
the second serve error rate should be increased, if also served very risky like the first.
