Just watched parts of my match against eliomelma, god, I should have drop shotted all match long -- eliomelma is standing so far behind the baseline, did not even notice that when we played.

Drop shots....kyuuji made me crazy with it!

Elias (Monfils) vs. Eliomelma (Dimitrov) 4-6 6-2 6-2

Another pretty long (55') and difficult match. This time my char was a better defender and faster, despite not having very strong accels, but still decent. I played patiently, focusing on good serving and some netplay. I really was not much confident after losing the first set but things turned better for me after, varying more with slices, drop, spins.. Elio then did more errors. Overall tense match wich needed to be focused and build the points.

Yes very good match, very hard! The first set was unclear, but at ens i won it 6-4. in the second i had soon 3 brek points on 1-0 but did'n convert it and the match change for me. Elias at this points changed his strategy and hits many various shots, not one same to another, and very strange for his attitude, he plays many points in defense. So i tried to hit winners but Dimitrov stamina coming down and very acceleration decreased my stamina, so in a long match monfils is hard to win with Dimitrov. But maybe with more net play i could do it. And i was very nervous because i missed at least 20 balls in the matchwith Dimitrov's backhand. But today Elias was a better player than me , deserved the victory and i say him good luck for final!

Still i have to notify about another issue about the desyncs, wich you have to be aware of.

We had some desyncs playing our match with Elio, on my serve only, not all the time, but still 1-2 times each games, especially in the first set.

It seems there is some issue that can happen with desyncs we faced here :
The server first serve is a netcord, and he sees it IN, and his opponent sees it OUT. This particular case doesn't seems to occur often but still happens. And this can lead to misunderstanding from the returner thinking the server may be unfair, because on his side the server doesn't feel doing anything wrong serving again a first serve. This happened 3 times in our match probably because of desyncs, and this happened also in another match Elio vs. kyuuji in the past.

Thats really a bad issue actually, probably caused by the desync. nothing we can do about it right now but hope desyncs will be history after the next TE update.

But this is important to know this can happen.

Yep I noticed that problem too recently... But as everybody is fair here, I don't think this will constitute a big issue.

Played one of my best matches against Ugadalou I won 6-3 3-6 7-5.

I tried to play with Djokovic but way too many desynchs on my serve. So we decided I play with Davydenko. At 3-2 on his serve, my game crashed but we were able to connect and serve aces until 3-2, and I got the break then. A bit unfortunate because the crash disrupted his rhythm and let me win the first set pretty easily.

In the second set he was outhitting me with his forehand, he wrongfooted me many times and served great. Like Elio he probably has the best out wide serve I've played against and it was hard to return them. In the third set, I began serving very well, getting many cheap points off it and not letting him get any chances. I began hitting great shots off the run, as he kept on putting me on the defense I knew I had to do something special to win the points. We held serve until 6-5 him serving to stay in the match. At 30-30 after being put on the defensive I it a deep backhand directed to his body, and he nets it. On match point, I rush to the net after my return and after 2-3 tries for the volley winner, finally nail it.

One of the best matches I've played, very fun match. We play a similar game, so it was very high intense hard hitting rallies, definitely looking forward to playing him again.

I forgot to mention. We had random patches of lag throughout the match. But they usually ended up happening right before our serves, so we would just wait bouncing the ball until the lag passed. It was annoying though, because occasionally it would just pop up in the middle of the rally causing an error almost straight away.
