I think I'm in love...ahhh. Thoughts? Can he take the title? I'm so excited he's in the top 10. Yay!

I do think he can get the title. This guy is talented, not just a good server, his FH is awesome. Happy for him, looks like a nice guy

I went to high school with him -- he was one class below me. He is a nice guy.

Also, he wasn't a great high school tennis player. I mean, he was obviously good -- but I'm not sure he was even the #1 player on the tennis team when I was a senior. Guess that's obvious though, because if he was amazing in high school he would have gone pro rather than going to play college tennis at Georgia.

He beat both Federer (Davis Cup) and Djokovic in 1 month at 22 years old.
He represents the future of tennis if he hasn't big injuries :)

Ah yes exact, I made a huge error ^
So, let's say, he's reaching his peak, and can now do something in big tournaments !

Something doesn't feel right about Isner advancing to the finals. Granted he has more than a monster serve, but not that much more. Don't think a player can be considered 'the real deal' with that limited of a game.

Granted, but Karlovic is the ultimate 1-trick pony, and has won squat. That said, i think fed will run a train on isner, because he is the best at exposing players limitations. I actually quite like isner though, as he shows quite a bit of dimension in his play, he can play at the net or baseline. I think if he was a couple of inches shorter, so faster, he would be very dangerous.

I like his chances...right now 4-4 in the opening set. Fed is holding serves comfortably but Isner is impressively holding serve. I honestly see him replacing Murray as number 4 in the world. He takes three giant steps to get to net and can move side to side with fewer steps because he's so tall. He can also slice well and get to lower balls...almost like Safin. He has the power of Roddick on his serves but a better follow up shot if he doesn't ace his opponent. And stamina? Well we all know he can play for days!

Fixed. ^^
(Because if you're thinking about that Wimby match, it was not "playing"... It was serve, direct fault or Point, walking, serve,...)
I do agree with Cro and Villa... We can't compare Isner with Ultimate Champs like the Sampras, Agassi... He hasn't shown a lot yet (winning big tourneys etc...)

Roger is showing every noob who think at 30 you can't practice sports at top level anymore that "yes you can !" \o/ GOAT !!!
