Martina Hingis character

Postby BluudyEEfingaz » Thu, 15 Mar 2012 22:50

I've played with my Martina build for awhile and have gotten rather good with her. I've gotten great compliments for my style of play from other players here as well as WT because she's so balanced, no more than 70 for each wing and 59 on power. Correct me if I'm wrong but Hingis was known for her brilliant net game, quickness and angles correct?

I mean I'm not sure how most members develop pro players but I like matching looks as well as style of play so I even use YouTube to match swings and to get a sense as to what attribute is greater than others. I was invited to a friendly match today for the second day in a row by someone whom I've played since TS3 and we've had more than a few friendly matches on TS4 as well. Yesterday playing his character I used Hingis and won 6-1 6-4. He hasn't been on for awhile but I thought he played the second set tremendously well considering. Today I'm invited again to a match this time I win 6-0 6-1 using the same characters and court. I get a message that not only was it the most boring match he's ever played but my hitting ANGLES side to side is cheesy. He of course plays with a power server, power hitter and me with a LOW 59 on power. I was annoyed with his running drop shots but I've often seen this done here and didn't bother to point it out until my play was called cheesy. Again, correct me if I'm wrong but when did hitting angles become cheesy? To say the least, he's deleted as a friend. If I called everyone I lost to a cheesy player, I'd be complaining about the entire top ten at ITST. Sorry...I had to let it out!

It's not cheesy. That's just the type of strategy you have to use in order to win in this game. :P

I've had players get angry before just for moving them round the court too much basically and how I 'keep doing the same thing'. Well the point of tennis is to manouevre a player until you can win the point, not really cheesy, sometimes it seems that unless you hit it straight back to them you are somehow not playing the game right. I think people just get annoyed when they arent good enough to do the same.

I love creating an accurate pro player. Lisicki has the heavy serve and rapid forehand, while I made sure all her info was true to life. The problem I have is creating a good enough facial likeness, seems to take too much time and effort just to get close. I'd love to see a method in future top spins for importing photo quality faces of yourself or a player, abit like the EA gameface, so its easier to truly recreate a missing pro, would be brilliant.

I have created some players after fictional characters or people who have nothing to do with tennis and I also have two characters I mainly use for testing which I just call John Player and Jane Player with few default modifications. Creating a lookalike face takes like half an hour and I often lack the patience. It sucks that you can only save 4 players, especially if you want to play both Men's and Women's WT.

Lisicki is very similar to Serena but the latter one's stats are too custom. She's also an able volleyer so I would definitely put that stat around 50. Like 3-15-2 and Babb.

Jay's Lisicki is annoyingly powerful. And the serve?...forget about it. I've only beat him maybe twice on WT using Sharapova. Hingis has yet to win.

It does take time to create some more than others. For instance some preexisting models resemble some pros. I've spotted a Mary Pierce, Kvitova and Youzny. I will upload videos where I have created some pros.

Which player did you use the other day when you beat me easily? If that is a newly created player I'd start using her on ITST because I've never felt so helpless in baseline rallies! Usually I can hold my own but you were just hitting deep winners with ease.

I find that court surface seems to play a bigger part than I thought recently, it seems that my power game just doesnt hold up on clay at all, had some really bad defeats on WT.

That was Sharapova...and I've had her for awhile. I think I will start using her more now. :D

Yeah it does! I remember thinking that when I was playing you now. I was trying to get Lisicki's face right for ages but don't think I got it quite right, I think her eyes and face are abit too big ha! Someone else on WT said she is really hard to create accurately.

Lisicki IS difficult to make. Also Venus and several men's pros as well. Ahh...well I will still attempt until Top Spin 5.

Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Given the options, even the programmers struggled with some faces, notably Wozniacki, Ivanovic and Lendl. Also Lendl has some really crappy stats, considering he was the best player of the 80's.

That Sharapova looks good but keep in mind that she has a Nike contract!

I was disappointed with their version of Zvonereva. I think GS2 and Top Spin 4 should have a baby...then we'd have a perfect tennis game. Oh and yes Corbon I'm aware Sharapova's ties with Nike but there are no Nike visors... :(

your sharapova is amazing, and yeah, i dont understand the whole womens appearance, firstly, the dresses are incredibly long, and then Zvonareva has some weird stats, that dont really reflect her game that well too, and the biggest problem of all, is no sharapova...WTF, and the lack of Nike clothing also annoys me, so much they should have improved or fixed -___-
