Yesss exactly agree with xesco.. I played a practice match yesterday with tino-perf and on every single point he used a drop shot.. He was using no other tactic other than drop shot. And I also complained to him after playing the match.. All he did after the serve was to come to the net and go for drop shot volley.. I m sorry tino.. I have nothing against you and we had a very nice itst match but yesterday I also really got frustrated.. If you have a serve and volley setup that doesn't mean you have to end every point with a drop shot..

LOCKED.

People need to know the difference between a drop and a short slice.

LOCKED.

Xesco you know this is not the place too discuss.

Xesco, are you sure you can differ between a perfect slice-volley right behind the net and a dropvolley? it almost looks the same, but it's not a dropvolley. you can even hear it from the sound.

Placed volley and drop shot volleys are similar for someone having a volley setup.. You can place the ball very close to the net with a volley setup using normal volleys as well. You should try to mix up things.. All you do is serve and next place the ball close to the net sometimes using drop shots volleys and sometimes using normal volleys. It's cheesy mate

Some host needs to specify whether using excess of normal volleys close to the net which are like drop shots volleys on almost every point are cheesy or not.. If they are not cheesy according to hosts then I won't complaint to you tino-perf after that

Even if he did use drop volleys every point, we can't blaim him.. he's just making use of the skills his setup offers him. Same thing as Welch playing short cross every point. You can't judge one if you don't judge the other. If you ask me it's cheese, but it's legal so nothing that you can do about it.

I think it's really hard to determine if this is cheesy or not because it depends on the shots the opponent is playing. If they are hitting every serve return as short top spins that are bouncing close to the net, a drop volley or short control volley is basically the only play -- and hitting those returns every single time could be considered cheesy in and of itself when it only leaves you with one option. If you try to hit anything else when someone hits one of those returns you're going to lose the point 99 out of 100 times.

But if they are hitting drop volleys every time on balls that are shoulder height, etc. then yeah that's cheesy.

if this volleys were placed volleys or dpoh shot volleys, its unfair.
you can t hit a volley very close to the net because it s boring and i ve ended the match really angry because all the points have three shots.
i think that it s unfair to play so but if you want and that s not cheesy you can do it perfectly.
sorry for discuss here.
