the megapatch was a bit painful to download as it's 950 megabytes at around 70kb/s but I eventually made it ... the game does look better and it's pretty nice I got to play with my own racket and gear ... the main thing is you do have the face of the top 120 players or so which is pretty sick amazing job ... the game engine, as previously stated, is quite good and smooth and you can customize pretty much everything to make it more realistic and harder, which is it's main plus compared to other tennis games ... it certainly looks like a game made by someone who played tennis for people that play and breathe tennis ... but I haven't tried it online yet, still playing the futures with elite controls and on rookie (5 sublevel) to get the hang of it ... (doing a ton better than the first tournaments and already getting rid of a few helpers and raising the cpu's difficulty)

hey there. after years of absence i thought i would give it a hop and dl elbow. and we played some hours now but is it only us or is the service totally overpowered? almost no chance to return a well placed one. our games end with sth like 25 aces or so.

cheers

Eder

I have been playing the demo for a couple of days now and I have to agree with this. It's a shame because the rest of the game is actually really good. The mechanics are much more like real tennis and I love the freedom you get in the game.

Serve is too overpowered right now. I'm playing on simulation controls and it's way too easy to place a max power serve in one of the corners. Playing an online match against someone is usually an ace fest and ends up being a 50/50 guessing game. You pick one side or the other and if you don't pick you won't get to the serve. Apart from that, it's too fast too. Even with a weak serve player hitting 180km/ph serves, I can still get plenty of aces. The reaction time you get for that kind of serve is much less than you would get in real life.

Shots in general, mostly the 'acceleration shot', are too powerful. Playing online, that's about the only shot people use or need to use since it's not that much harder to get in yet rips balls so easily. Using top spin shots is not a lot of use since people often just rip it close to the line after one. It's hard to have a decent rally online with another player since shots are just too strong and some shots become not much use as a result.

I hope this problem is fixed cos otherwise it's a great tennis game!

I noticed the same about that shot. But I would not call it too powerful. Too safe? Yes.

There needs to be a bit more risk in hitting this one, especially a few in a raw.

At this time I do not find serves too powerful. Why? Because they curve. You need to position yourself better. According to the servers hand. (righty or lefty) The serve seems powerful as there is no "auto positioning" as in EVERY other console game, that basically "pulls" you to the serve. Here you need to make that step, then hit - yourself.

I am sure our feedback though can be very helpful to the developer, I just think we need to give it some time withing the ITST tours. This is when people start getting "creative" the most

It's me or the drop shots are always a little too long. They never go to the net.
