I just came back home and I saw Grand Slam Tennis in a Shop....

But I don't pay 69,95€ for it....Never!!!!

Never? You obviously didn't hear that GST2 allows you to don your created player with eye glasses.

I know one thing, I'll buy the game just for the player creation mode and the ability to upload/download players. I think this feature alone is way cool!

Here in US the game will cost around 50$. That is one trip to the movies for me. Even if the movie turns out to be a blast, it is still around of 3 hours of entertainment. I am pretty sure I will get more then 3 hours of fun out of GST2

How much does it cost for you to go out at night to a good restaurant with a bottle of wine? Here in US, I cannot get away from paying $100. That is two games

a friend of mine got the game and i played at his place yesterday evening.

What could i say that hasn't been said yet? ...well for one i am like many people a bit disapointed by the game. Obviously the animations are sloppy and the way the characters move is horridious. Ball physics is off most of the time.

But still it is a fun game. We played a couple of matches, singles and doubles (doubles look to be "better" than in ts4). Fun but the first coming to the net usually wins the point. so it is a bit like a race The serve system is nice, i like it. But returns are way too powerful (or serves too weak?) because it is difficult to get the "hand" with your serve against good player.
The net play is funny, especially when your player dive and fall on the ground and if you try to hit again while on the floor he can do it! It really suprised me the first time i saw it.

But i can already feel the borring aspect of the matches... maybe im wrong, only online multiplayers will give us a definite answer. What i dont like is the real lack of feel of power when you hit powerful strokes. Everything almost feels the same.

We tried to create a character and play a bit of career. We quickly created the character (without uploading pictures) and the options seem nice. You can indeed get the serve from a player and the strokes of another player (yeah that means you cant specifically chose backhand and forehands... even if 1hbh or 2hbh, it depends on the player you chose to mimic his strokes). The "presentation" when you create your player is not very "clear" and nice. The cloth is difficult to figure out until you apply to the character and everything is heavy-loading (played on xbox360).

A very nice option is to create many characters (or download them) and chose them to replace other characters of the game. Which means you can create your favorite atp players and will play against them in your career. This is really a welcome addition.

Comentary is fun for the first few matches but we already turned it off during the evening because of heavy repeats. Playing on other courts of the grand slam is also very nice.

Maybe my friend will come back with the game tonight or tomorrow so ill be able to know a bit more. I am still unsure of buying it yet...

Found a new flaw I believe.

Button serves and button flat shots are much better than TRC serve and flat shots. Anyone else have experienced the same? I don't really understand how to power up a flat shot with the TRC. Top spin shots are best with TRC in my experience. You power up with pulling the right stick backwards(that's easy enough to understand). However, how do you power up flat shots with TRC?

There seems to be two ways of hitting hard flat shots. Either you need much time so the game align your player perfectly for a ball before flicking your right stick the direction you want. Or you can power up your strikes with the X button and do hard shots just like TS4's power shots. You get much better and harder flat shots using the x button compared to TRC. Hope it's just me who's being a bit thick headed, otherwise it will ruin the TRC system..
