Soooo!... A lot of big games recently!...
What are your thoughts?...

I enjoyed Batman Arkham City! They did better than Batman AA! (Which was awesome already!). Some of the side quest are sometimes better than some parts of the main story!... A bit shocked/disapointed by the end, but that's really a personal point of view about how they wrote it...

I've been completely surprised by Rage!... It is by many aspects like Borderlands, but (I liked Borderlands more) with less fun... And you have that race game side!... You can do races with cars, and it is absolutley well done! You can finish the game without racing, but it's funny to level up your big racing muscle car to kick those bandits a** on the road... Very "MadMax2 like"! Awesome!

Deus Ex is a pure bomb!... It's an FPS but you should play like in an old Metal Gear Solid to enjoy it... Stay crouched, remain silent, sneak in...
You level up your character to choose how you want to play it (Tank, Infiltration...). You have many side quests, and you even have a success if you score with a basket ball... ^^ (Honestly a very great game, it changed my way of playing FPS! I now play FPS beeing crouched all time! ^^)

And now I play Dark Souls... It's written on the box... "PREPARE TO DIE"!
Oh my!... This game is insanely hard!... It's a pure "Die and retry" game!...
Very beautiful, the openning sequence (kinda like a Lord Of The Rings intro movie) is sublime! And then the game is... so vicious! I just defeated the Queen Queelaag, and just rang the 2nd bell... Before going further, I'll go back a bit to finish cleaning some areas with my wanderer looking like a red hooded mad warrior...

And I just loooove Gears 3!... A bit less epic than the others (for the solo campaign mode, but it's still great and beautiful though), but damn that Hord 2.0 mode is just so great!!! And also the Beast mode! Enjoying it a lot!

My only disappointment is Battlefield 3... I know it's not the purpose of those games, but the Solo campaign part is terribly lame... And mostly I prefer to play solo than multiplayer... I think that I buy videogames to play their story mode at ease in my sofa first, AND then to have some fun and excitment online... I mean those multiplayers mode shoud be like bonus! Not the main part of the game/developpment...
My 2c's opinions...

Edit :
Oops! I forgot to mention Xenoblade!!! If you like RPGs like the Tales Of (kind of, for the battle system...), if you like RPGs where you have numerous side quest, if you like RPGs where you can talk with everybody in all the towns/places you go, where you can level up all your characters, where you are completely free to do what you want (you can go exploring, it gives you exp simply by discovering new places :D, you can forget the main story and do all the side quests in the order you want it...), well this game is a must have! Plus, you can have the sounds in japanese with the subtitles in english (and it changes everything!)
It is indeed one of the 2 or 3 best RPG on the next gen (like a lot of people said)!
(And I have the Artbook! Hell yeah! \o/)

Arkham City was amazing.

I didn't really like Arkham Asylum -- I played about a third of it then quit. I understood why everyone said it was a great game...it WAS a great game I guess. I just personally didn't enjoy it.

Looooved Arkham City though.

Also just finished Deus Ex....liked it, but I think it could have been better.

I didn't play it... Yeah I know...

@edlglide
If you liked Batman AC, I think maybe you should retry Batman AA! It's quite similar!... except the side missions! Maybe you like to get all success and therefore maybe the way to get those were "boring" on Batman AA...

No -- I think I just didn't like the setting of Arkham Asylum. It was too constrained or something. To be honest I'm not really sure why I quit halfway through it...just didn't suck me in and make me want to keep playing. Like I said, I understand why it was considered a great game; I just didn't enjoy it.

Oh! I understand!... I guess it happened the same with me with Dragon Age... I saw why it's awesome for most of people I talked with about it, but I simply lost the thrill of playing it after a few hours...

I just finished Assassin's Creed: Revelations -- anyone else played it?

I was really disappointed. The gameplay was fine, and they added some stuff, but it was just incredibly short. Assassin's Creed 2 was probably 3 or 4 times as long, and Brotherhood was probably twice as long....plus they both took place in much bigger areas. It felt more like an expansion pack than a full game; I think I'd be mad if I'd bought it and had to spend $60 on it.

The only thing it really did well was finish up Altair's storyline. Other than that it didn't really answer any questions or even give any new information....and it was just so damn short.

I liked it but i only played assassins creed 1 and revelations. I loved the Altair bit though, especially when you are like 90 and have no pace, or strength yet still have to fight lol

Yeah it's definitely a huge upgrade from AC 1. You should play AC 2 though, that's a great game and much better than either of those.

Yeah MGS is my favorite game of all time. Wish they would completely remake it in HD (From the ground up, not upscaled, so it has mgs4 graphics)

I've got interest in that game, but I refuse to pay a monthly subscription fee -- and I think MMOs are boring/dumb. I know SWTOR is supposed to be a lot different from the typical MMO though.

I'm the same. I wasn't going to buy it, but then I played the beta, and BOOM - hooked.

If you get time cards from the right places (zavvi is cheapest for me), it works out at £7.50 a month, which is not bad. I played about 100 hours in my first month, so that works out at 7.5p per hour? Bargain I'd say! ;p
