Top Spin 4 Coach Power Ranking

Postby Ary1g » Sun, 18 Dec 2011 12:25

I have made a poll where people should vote on the gold coach they use the most on ITST. Should be fun and interesting to see which coaches that top the ranking.

Many coaches had to be cut out, because of poll limit.

You can throw in a comment on why and what you voted if you want to and also name you coach if him/her isn't in the poll. :)

Note to management:

Thanks for moving it, much appreciated! :)

Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

I currently use William Milango in most formal matches.

EDIT: Also played some recent matches with Masaki
Norberto H or bust.

Interesting. Milango gets very much similar to Welsh imo, though without the cheap skills of Welsh ;) I find that there are very similar silver coaches to some of the dominating gold coaches here. Welsh = Milango and Rabari = Eroglu for instance. Only difference appears to be their skills.
Is there more of them to be found and named?

Thanks for the link, but I didn't want to spend time looking into it for now. ;) Hopefully someone who already know about some similarities, can inform me of the other than the already mentioned ones. :) If not, I'll have to look into it myself.

About our match, I've sent you a pm ;)

I just tend to think a 90/90 is a bit excessive in any stat typically so I go for the 90 backhand as that's usually my weapon. I like Milango because you still have a decent power and serve though you clearly sacrifice speed for that. I'll cast a vote for Neuwirth though because I've started using one that I like.

I see. :) I've heard quite a bit of praise for Neuwirth, but I've actually never played against anyone here on ITST using Neuwirth. So for me it's a bit surprising that he have that much votes already. However, it's still not a long time since the poll was made, so maybe the numbers will evolve during the next weeks.

Who uses Neuwirth? I want to play against you :) Put your PSN up here, then I'll add you asap ;)

If you still go on Xbox you can play against my Neuwirth. He has the two best skills of any power coach, probably along with David Gallo.

I only have a PS3.. :(

I don't get it though. I don't find shot counter that good. My experience overall is that I can hit crazy angled control shots with great power easier with a player who doesn't have SC. Only thing required is one good wing and good footwork for me.
Is the timing different or something? :P

In good hands, this setup is very dangerous. I'm not absolutely sure, but i think that zooloo plays with Neuwirth, and he's a beast!

My belief as I've said that it really helps all well timed flat shots and not just control shots. So in that respect as long as your timing is good you'll have a skill that works almost like Top Spin Invasion except for your flat shots. When you pair that with SVK it's a great combo since SVK basically improves your timing window and allows you to take the ball earlier.

When you compare that with Rabari I think he gets blown out of the water. The only things Sahy has going for him are better weak wings and higher serve rating. Shot Counter in the right hands easily makes up for the weak wing and a high 60's serve rating is just plenty with a high power rating. Overall Instant Rocket is the only unique skill here, and to me it's not all that special. I think that Gallo's Diesel Hard Hitter is a much more effective power skill than IR.

What's the deal with Neuwirth? Sure he has Shot Counter but he requires 10 points into OBL, and then you have 10 points left to put into S&W to end up with a measly 63 Volley to complement the Half-Volley ability. And he only raises 40 points. Also Carina Jiquelle deserves to be mentioned.

Also I noticed that in order to unlock Rabari you must put 2 points in either S&W or DBL (or 1 in each) before putting 13 points into OBL. And while Gallo's Diesel Hard Hitter is fantastic, his Inside Out Master is not terribly useful. Inside Outs are naturally a bit more powerful anyway.

Semi Volley king doesn't really affect the volleying too much it more or less lets you hit the ball sooner after it bounces.

I have to try the Sahy Rabari 0/13/7 Setup if it's so popular here too this Night.

I hope the 59 Speed is enough.

But my Lydia Jara 0/5/15(4/0) Setup is a good one too. But it could be that Serve Stick Berserker Skill is a waste after these Updates now. And because of this I will try the Rabari one to see what the Difference is worth in some Points and Skills.
