This is a quote from the thread about returning inside the baselin or not:

hahaha, this made me laugh and also made me want to create this thread. :P
I wish the rest of the managers and hosts shared your opinion.

I think the players on ITST should decide all rule-suggestions. Managers and hosts shouldn't have the option to discard every rule suggestion they come over. Simply put, if a rule is voted through or not, means either that the majority wants it or not. Done with it. Set a deadline on one week or two. If the vote goes through, the managers must comply to the results and start testing the rule, or go right to implementing the rule without testing. Would have been a great addition to this site to actually let the players/users here decide what rules they want or not, instead of just this management who decides if they want it or not.

Vote your opinion.

You misunderstood my post, that quote is out of context, what i meant is that if you want to talk about something or drop an opinion about something is better to create a poll than create a thread just to complain and bash an ITST member. Those kind of threads will always end locked, the managers will check that poll and discuss about it in private ( i know you don't believe it but, trust me, they do, they talk about all these things)

In my opinion this is not a democracy, this is a private site with private rules, so i don't think regular members should rule the site. You're implying that guys that for example registered last week could vote to decide rules, when probably this same guys will quit the site in 2 weeks?, no way.

Not gonna have any argument about this btw, just posted my opinion as a member, not as a host.
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

... Not mentioning the fact that those polls could easily be manipulated by just creating tons of accounts before they can be banned.

If you want to learn a lesson here, from that Poll by Iluvbillval, it is the way he structured it, discussed it, accepted it and moved on. Something you are unable to do.

Your opinion does not represent the opinion of majority here, deal with it. Not even close. When your polls and threads go against you - you create a new one. Hence I had to close a number of them from you. When your idea gets shut down with good arguments, that seem to be good for most but you - you just keep shoving your opinion down everyone's throat claiming no arguments where made, like a child closing your ears, eyes and mind, mindlessly screaming for candy.

I am really tired of your demeanor. Bottom line, if you don't like the structure of our community - do not participate. This is a simple concept and this is your democracy - the right not to be here.

Not only that but if players decided all rules some really god awful things could happen. Just read "Lord of the Flies."

Okay, I apologize :)

Postby Ary1g » Thu, 10 Nov 2011 01:44

First of all. Sorry ;)
My thoughts came through way too quickly this time. Funny to see responses though. Don't feel very welcome here anymore.

What my though about this was, that suggestions which were worked out quite a bit and had some sense to them. Could have a chance of getting a rule test tournament.

I'm sorry for not rethinking my thoughts before posting. But it seems to me that to many ideas are just thrown away. Like Lokis last thing. I think it's quite good. Only need a rule for Rabari and we're good to go.

Of course, players can't decide everything ;) What I thought was, that players could participate in deciding rule tests, cheesy shots, and such things.

Also I think there should be reworked some rules around cheesy-tactics here. I think they're just too open and general. No real consequence for applying cheesy tactics in a few situations during a match.

Again, my apologies to the management here for not reviewing my thoughts before posting. Hope this makes a little bit more sense now.
I didn't mean that the whole site should be run by users. I just think that there should be more openness about testing rules. I just can't understand what's so difficult with having rule test tournaments? I can arrange them all alone if that's what it takes.

Is it allowed to arrange a test tournament by myself on the forum? Like say my thread was named: "RSRW-Rule test tournament", people who would want to be a part of the tournament signed up by writing their name and then I would make the draw when I got 16 or more players? This way all arrangements where made through this one thread and I could do all the work. I'm just very interested in trying out things. Like being a rule testing junky here on this site. Itst got more potential than now imo. :P
