RIP Steve Jobs

Postby SIeeepy » Thu, 06 Oct 2011 04:57

Today is a very sad day. Steve Jobs passed away at the age of 56. Being a loyal Apple customer (as evident by me typing this on my MacBook) I was very shocked by the news. Whether you like Apple or not, it is without a doubt that he was a true visionary. Rest in peace Mr. Jobs. You shall be missed :(

Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

Hard not to admire the guy and his passion. Can't lose sight of the fact though that many men and women were involved in the process.

Jef Raskin was the brains behind the Macintosh, yet virtually no one blinked when he died of Pancreatic Cancer in 2005. :nono

Anyway, yeah, sucks that Jobs passed at such a young age. Sad.

The thing I dont get is why SO Much media coverage is given to him. Sure, he was a visionary, but someone who worked alongside MLK jr. for civil rights died yesterday. And who did he get pushed out by? A techno geek.

Because if wasnt for him Apple wouldnt be what it is and Microsofot wouldn be what it is, the competition from Apple was what pushed Microsoft to go updating and revolution itself and if i wasnt for Microsoft and Apple we would be sending letters to each other.

But your 13 so you probably dont get a lot of stuff anyway.

I am not a fan of Apple but it is very sad that he died so young. He certainly achieved great things and shaped the world of technology.

If it weren't for Xerox, neither of them would have jobs. But yeah, he was a cool dude and Macs (more so the older ones in my opinion that weren't as much Linux copies) have always been very cool. They were always very innovative with all their ideas except iPods, which like all proprietary MP3 players, suck balls.
