On the men's side... Nole was brilliant this year. Outstanding... and it looks as if nobody is gonna be able to dominate like he did next year, so I expect another great year for Novak in 2012.

On the gaming side... I think they should put more legends in the games for the women. Put the Williams sisters, Hingis, Navratilova, Evert, Pierce, Seles, Graf, Sanchez-Vicario, Davenport, Capriati, and Ai Sugiyama (lol JK!!). But more legends for the women would be smart. And they should make the Bryan Brothers an unlockable bonus for doubles matches.

I like the bryan bros, but noone knows who the hell those women are. It woulld not make sense.

That's unfair to say, if you're a tennis fan you should know at least who Graf is, or who Seles is. Navratilova is a legend and so is Evert... they deserve respect at least because of what they did in the sport (i.e. dominate it). The women I mentioned (except for Sugiyama), I would love to see in a video game, and I'm not the only one...so to say "noone" knows who they are is completely ignorant.

For those of us who appreciate women's tennis, legends/multiple grand slam winners would be appreciated instead of no-names and 300+ ranked players.

It makes perfect sense.

I did not mean noone knows, but apart from the CORE Tennis fan base, they might know some current women, and mens players, but i garuntee you 99.9% of casual sports fan would know who nadal, fed, and djoko are, but not Graf and Seles.

everybody knows Graf and Navratilova, even if they don't watch tennis, and some of the women from what i call the 'Kournikova era' would make great legends too (late 90s-early 2000s) such as Hingis, Davenport, Selles, Henin etc

And America represent "most people"?...
Honestly I don't think the Navratilova, Graf, Seles, etc... are known only by "a core" but more surely they are well known by all tennis lovers!...

...i haven't actually lol. it's a shame more americans aren't into tennis if that's the case, here in england Wimbledon is quite popular, the only sport more popular is football. i assumed it would be the same with the US Open and america?

unfortunately for the rest of the world the US does represent 'most people' like in music if you're not big in america you aren't considered big at all, it's kinda dumb, but i guess america is the most popular country in the world, so kinda makes sence?

To me this used to be true... I don't think it's still true nowadays.
(Only talking about entertainment/sports here...)
Talking about "old" women champions, I'm really convinced that anybody who loves Tennis, know who they are, and know how much they affected/changed their sport. (And Graf is a bit the "Fangio/Maradona/Pelé/Jordan" of her sport!)
(Well... That's what I think! ^^)

But most video games aim their market at Japan and the US, so you have to look at it in that sense.

I thought we were talking about people who loves Tennis, and who buys Tennis games... I thought you were saying these people didn't know who Fed, Nadal, Graf, Naratilova are...

I don't know a lot about who video games creators aim when they create/sell their games, so I won't comment on your last comment. ^^

i think we are talking about people in general, if someone who wasn't a tennis fan bought the game, would he recognaise the people in it?
