if a players game is built on power and his serve and he has very little speed i.e 43 whats the point in having a good serve if you cant use it? big serve and big power means the old 1-2 of big serve big forehand is your game e.g querrey isner berdych etc etc. To call it cheesy the key thing in all this is some people think that there should be no advantage to being a server and im not sorry but i dont agree with it. Also a variety of serves is what makes a good server so to take the slice serve away leaves you very one dimensional in regard to your serve.

Also just to add to those people who think drop shots are cheesy, yes they can be annoying and i dont use them myself particularly but ive played against people who do alot and you will lose some points as a result of it but when you know whats coming you end up winning the majority of those points. As the old saying goes fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

yeh god forbid you have variety when you serve how crazy am i right? and for your information i dont slice all the time but it can be very effective as it opens up the T serve simples.

I am done with this thread.

Mate if u need to slice wide everytime to win a point good(bad?) for you, i dont need, as far variety goes i have already said that once in a while im perfectly fine but everytime is just stupid.

I wont stand here and tell people how to play im just telling the facts that good players dont need do abuse(use?) it to win.

using the serve 70% of the time on just the deuce side to me is not overusing it. Just accept everyone plays differently.

A good few years ago now i was fortunate enough to be british jnr and i played someone who sliced the ball both forehand and backhand for the entire match and he beat me but according to people like you that person should be kicked out of that tournament for being "cheesy" are you serious? thats crazy it was frustrating to play as it completly messed up my rhythem but it would never ever come across my mind that he should be banned just made me want to beat him even more next time we played. Do you think he should have been banned? as this is what you are saying as according to you using a winning tactic against someone consistently is wrong, if so then there is no point having a conversation with someone like you.

The only thing i disagree with is if there is a flaw in the game that people take advantage of such as a return that makes you run behind the baseline before you can hit it back. From what i can tell the only people who have a problem with the way someone serves etc are those people who are always looking for excuses and if your one of those people then im deeply sorry to hear that.

You were zps on the ad side with kick, whats done is done just let it go. Really not worth bitchin about for ages. As I said best of luck in the tournament. I dont look for excuses, you say I only mentioned this because I lost. Not true I said aftet first game. We are just repeating ourselves its poinless. If you want to zps with 90plus serve and power feel free to do so.

Hah funny how you mention excuses when my record looks like this: 13 win 4 loses(2 by WO) and yours look like this 2 wins 6 loses...

so yeah im a loser who is always looking for excuses and you is a TS4 god who needs to serve slice wide to win every point...

And about slicing in the rally yeah look at the cheesy topics, abusing slices is considered cheesy by the majority of ITST palyers and the hosts so probably it will get u banned.

im talking about real tennis in regard to slices not on a computer game. Since u find that "cheesy" and think it should be banned thats a worry. Also i never said i was very good on the game but if anything it shows my serves cannot be considered as "cheating" as i dont even win lol but im getting better and ive never complained when ive lost and never intend to, maybe thats where we are different.

I guess from what your saying you dont want a tennis computer game to be like real tennis as you dont want certain shots that are used and certain styles to be used in the game. Personally i want the game to be as realistic as possible and so i think everything aslong as you not cheating by using glitches etc should be allowed. But i accept that we never going to agree if we both have different views on what a tennis computer game should be like one of us wants it to be like the real game while the other prefers it to be about power shots. So we never going to agree so im happy to leave it there.

btw this is directed at lokisharpshootr not tamthewasp who to be fair just wants to let it go.

showing a lack of respect... no, otherwise i'll lock the thread, btw the doubt the author of this thread had was solved on the 1st page, if you wanna keep having an argument about this you can do it through PMs, because there're only 3 people posting here
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

i agree i was quite happy at the very start its just when someone questions you by saying its unfair etc you just want to stick up for yourself and your point of view but its got a little personal now and thats not good. So as far as im concerned this has now been resolved in my own mind atleast so thanks for everyones input, no matter which side of the fence your own in regard to this.
